Congrats to a great man and coach. West is going to be a work in progress but Randy Wood will find a way to make this program better and succeed, he just needs the help of the administration.

How many plays did Dunbar run this past season? How many offensive formations did they have. I heard and saw a lot of different things they done, and really didn't to well at they all. I think to be successful at the high school level, you need to take your players, find an offense and mold your kids to it. Do 1 or 2 things well, rather thand 7-8 and hardly be effective. Thats what I was trying to clarify.

Garrard would be lucky to have a great person as well as coach as Jerry Perry. He is a great football minded, educated, and does things the right way. He will restore the discipline there at GC. Good Luck to whom they choose.

Buy into what coaching philosophy? Don't get me wrong, I like Hensley, but every week they were running something different or had a different list of plays for the kids to learn. If they stuck with the option the beat Tates Creek, the athletes they have, would have been a much more productive offensive and true offensive philosophy to buy into.

I have heard they already interviewed Stepp from Clay Co. Not sure this is true, so I'm giving information I was told last night.

I want to say Jeff?? Norman. He was an assistant at Rowan when Doug Preston was there, his son was the qb. He went with Preston to Western in Louisville and then came back. I think he has been rumored to go to Prestonsburg to be an assistant.

This is 2008 and not 1958 where most coaches go to college and then come back to their hometown or a nearby town to coach and stay. More jobs are opening and attractive. Your quote was put very well, either put up or finds mediocrity help for a couple of year rather a long term coach to build a program.

What is the lack of resources at MC? I know Commercial Bank does just about anything for all of the athletic teams, Donnie McKenzie is the heart and soul of the football program, and we are talking about a dedicated principal, athletic director and board of education - superintendent who will go above and beyond to make the necessary upgrades in facilities and pay for coaches to continue to have and maintain success.

It is the administration to give the head coach they hire what he needs to be successful. He may have to wait to prove his program is worthy such as Morgan, but without proper equipment, facilities, and support most teams will be lucky and happy to just field a team. That is what I suspect from Morgan County and the administration - support when winning, and enjoy playing when losing.

Who are incorrect names?

Colorado is an up and coming team. They have a freshman QB and some nice receivers and running backs. They like to throw the ball around. Wake is a multi-dimensional team where they run something like the option, but have the passing attack to go with it. Other programs may not be Louisville; which wasn't much this year, actually will win games and compete and this young man may get a quality education as well. Good luck to him!

This job must not be that attractive or its a lot of first time to be head coaches being considered for it. It would be nice to know. I heard Bolin (sp.) from East put in for the Southern job as well. I'm not for sure, just something I was told.

Is Brunner still going to be interviewed?

Basketball was or has watned the upper hand since Upchurch was head coach there. I know they are successful now and will be, but I think both sports are feeding off each other and will be successful.

Stepp has also put in for the job at Rowan Co. Is something wrong at Clay Co.?
