2004-2005 were great years at MCHS. They had the most success of any team dating back 15-20 years. It will be neat to see if they hired a guy that will last more than ONE year like Turner did in 2003, Normam 2007, the recent coach 2008. Middle school football is totally different from high school and hope MCHS made a good hire. I was informed that Turner is a Estill Co. fan and may run the Double Wing.

Is this confirmed that he is the new head coach?

Derek Springate worked at WJHS as a special education teacher and was not rehired for this school year. He has been teaching PE at Bryan Station. I don't think West is going to have a PE job open but if Derek gets his certification or working towards it, they may hire him since he's been under Hammonds.

What is the teaching situation at the schools? How much administration support do you get as a coach? How are the facilities? What is the pay scale compared to other schools?

What would he have been doing wrong to have been reported to the administration?

I just read that Estill Co. is taking applications for Head Football Coach as of April 30, 2009. Any insight on this situation?

How old is this guy? How long has he been teaching?

Are there any quality assistants to take over at Powell or will they look outside the staff?

Who are possible canidates for this job?

I think Coach Brown runs an offense that fits his kids and they run it pretty well. The 3-3-5 is an 8 man front defense, so it can be used to stop the run or pass depending how you personnel is used.
