connerkickerboy
Conner High has announced five signees for NAIA football from the class of 2009: Union College has inked commitments from the following: TYLER BRAKE (TE) MAX MUCKERHEIDE (OT) RICH MORGAN (OT) WILLIAM "Scooter" ENGLEMON (WR/KR) Four great additions to the Union program! Lindsey-Wilson College, which actually begins its season 2010 as it starts a football program, (conditioning and building in 2009) has inked an acceptance from: CHRIS LAWRY (Long Snapper) We wish the best to all five Conner football signees! This was a great group of Seniors who went from one of the worst records in NKY in 2008 to one of the better records in 2009! Look forward to driving down to see these players in the future. oldonetechnique
I think that Union may have passed up Georgetown in the recruiting of these athletes that fall through the cracks in Kentucky.
MSU-70
I think that Union may have passed up Georgetown in the recruiting of these athletes that fall through the cracks in Kentucky. It might be because Trosper is an old Union alum. Congratulations to these young men on their adventure to the next level. Good Luck.

Coach Trosper has really got that program going in the right direction and it shows he really works hard for those kids after their high school playing days are over. hooaah
I think that Union may have passed up Georgetown in the recruiting of these athletes that fall through the cracks in Kentucky. Agree and maybe that's one of the reasons they were 5-5 this year. 5-5 at Georgetown isn't good enough. :puke: Its especially true in Western Kentucky. There were number of quality players they just turned their back on this past spring. Georgetown used to get players from Paducah, Madisonville, Hopkinsville, Princeton, etc. - now they're not interested.
Theoldguy
Could be too that Tyler Brock Head Coach of the Union Bulldogs Soccer Program is a Conner Grad also.
vintage
These are great kids and you left one off the list.....Jayce Jordan Conner cornerback, turned down Union and a walk on invitation at UC, and signed with Kentucky Christian University at DB. They play in the same conference as Union and Georgetown.
Clyde
The Enquirer article from 6.15.09 says Brake is "mulling" offers from Union, Cumberlands, and Campbellsville for baseball. ??? http://communitypress.cincinnati.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/C2/20090615/SPT02/906150349/
