When I played basketball I was more athletic, and agile, but after i stopped playing basketball I got bigger, and stronger, so i guess it just depends on what you're looking for.

I was a three sport athlete, and i played basketball my freshman year, but after my first full season as a high school football player, that's all i had on my mind and wanted to spend every extra second in the weight room, so i passed on basketball my soph. and junior years. I played basketball again my senior year after my football career was done. If your son is still young, and wants to be great at football, I'd say let him left.

Can't wait to see that. I think the youth leagues started in Estill County a few years ago, will have tremendous results as these kids stroll through high school.

It sure would be nice to see all twenty four come out next year.

Estill did lose seven seniors last year including three starters: Clinton Dixon, Jesse Puckett, Stuart Reese, Chad Aldridge, Zack Reagan, Austin Moore, and Chase McKinney.

Thanks to all the Russell fans who cheered the Engineers on this year. It's greatly appreciated, and won't soon be forgotten. Good luck to the Red Devils in the future, and hope to see you soon.

I think grades 9-12 actually ended with 26, but the 8th grade team finished 4-3 if i'm not mistaken.

Perkins is a pretty good pitcher, I thought he graduated, he should give a lot of help to Lee Co. this spring.

Estill Co. Cody Berryman and Blake Christopher are the only returning starters from last year's team.

Campbell is only a sophomore this year right? He was very strong last year to only be a freshman.

There will be a lot of high expectations for Estill County this year, especially from the Estill players. Ending the season on such a high note by winning 3 of their last 4 has the Engineers feeling good about themselves, as they should be.

Estill and Powell play Friday, not a potential State Championship matchup, but should be a great game to watch due to the rivalry.
