That would be fine but that can't be what happened in Blake Christopher's situation because he and Cody Berryman play baseball for the Engineers and Cody was able to attend, so there must be some other reason for Christopher being left off the team.:confused:

They took down Menifee Co. tonight 11-1 in 5 innings, tomorrow's the big one vs. Lee Co. at Estill County.

They've got Menifee on Monday, and Lee Co. on Tuesday, both at home. April 17th at Powell Co.

Looks like the Engineers have gotten off to a fast start. There's nothing like it.

Jackson County. I don't know if it was their permanent field or just one used for a limited time but it was terrible. A kid left with a severly sprained ankle due to the home plate, rocks everywhere, and the infield was extremely hard, not too fun to slide on.

That's exactly the kind of coach he is.

Drew Freeman, and he's only a sophomore. Lots of power, every ball is hard hit.

Estill has a few good arms, with Freeman (sophomore) and Berryman (senior).

I've seen the Engineers participate in some passing league games, and I agree it just doesn't do much for them, it's not Estill's style and you can tell they're just ready to put some pads on and get after it.

It would be exciting to see a game like the one in Estill last year.

A lot of teams on the schedule next year haven't played Estill in a while, so they're less likely to be as familiar with the double wing as teams like Russell and Fleming Co. are.

I believe it will depend a lot on how Estill is stroking the 3. I'll take the Engineers by 7.

I don't remember any of the players names, or even the schools they were from but when I was in the 6th grade we went to Travis Ford's EKU camp, the problem was it wasn't a middle school camp but a high school camp, and I played Center, I ended up having to guard guys that were around 6 ft. 6 when I was just entering Middle School.

I believe the switch was made against Morgan Co. in the 7th game of the season, they went on to beat Morgan, West Carter, and Powell and lose to Russell after they made the switch. I agree if the Engineers had been running the Double Wing all year a few games early in the season could've gotten very interesting. You can't question Coach Jones and his staff after seeing the way he turned the program around when he first came to Irvine, he knows what he's doing.

You're right the players really buy into the Double Wing system, and execute well.
