If this is your own research, that is impressive work....

Not only impressive but reflective of THIS SEASONS performances. I like polls based on research and not so much on opinion.

My only question would be Ballard.....I think they are a better team than that. Personally I would place Ballard in the top 10 in rankings. Or I would love to know what exactly in your criteria places them so low.

Great Poll!

Thanks for posting that list. :thumb:

That's impressive.

Pretty extensive research.

However, I think Lawrence Co. should be in there. Defeated your #5 Boyd Co., #24 Ryle, #30 Shelby Co. 19 wins verses 8 losses with some losses coming from #19 Mercer (had 4-3 lead in 6th), #32 Male, #36 Johnson Central (lead 1-0 in 7th, gave up 2 unearned runs in bottom half) 3 losses on spring trip to 3 good southern teams.

They play #45 Perry County Central and #5 Boyd Co. in a double header on Friday and Powell Co. and #42 Rockcastle Co. in a double header on Saturday. Four pretty good opponents in about 30 hours.

I also believe they currently hold a #21 ranking in the current coaches poll.

Just wondering if they were considered and not felt justified or just overlooked.

I look to fine tune this thing with the next rankings. It is a little harder to evaluate teams that played many out of state teams like Lawrence County has done. One of my calculations took in out of region losses and Lawrence county had 7 of them (4 of them to out of state competition), so look for that change in the next rankings because I will probably take out all out of state wins or losses in the calculation.

Nice work...I would of thought St. X would have been higher. PRP coach doesn't want to see this poll......

Very nice list; you should work for the coach's association...

I think Lawrence County should be ranked. They have only 4 losses to teams from Kentucky. Only one Region loss which also is their only district loss to Johnson Central a team they beat also 9-4 then lost 2-1. They avenged one of the state team losses when they beat Raceland this past Monday 7-5.

Out of the 4 teams out of state they lost to 3 was on Spring Break and they other one was to Wayne, WV which is a Class AA power in the state of WV and has been for years with several State Championships.

Nice work though, you put alot of time into it. You should try to do some free lance writing about your poll to some local newspapers.

Great post! But where is Ballard?
