One thing I failed to mention is, it is also my understanding that Lawrence was next in line to host sectional. That is the reason that it was moved there when PCC was unable to host.

The site was supposed to be a Pike Co. Central. However, they are apparently doing some work on their fields (at least that was what was said). This site change happened over a month ago. I do believie the KHSAA did a poor job of getting the word out about the change.

It has been said many times that the administration does not support this team and staff. I disagree. This community has several outspoken critics of this administration and try to blame them for everything. One way to get more people on your bandwagon is to blame them for the demise of your sports programs. Well I'm pretty sure all programs are treated equally and baseball is at its highest level in recent years and basketball has been more competitive than it should have been for the last few years. So if you have some specifics as to how this administration interferes with the football program I would like to hear them.

11-0 is correct on the final. This was a great game for 4 innings. Boyd led 1-0 after 4 with Boyd's lefty giving up 0 hits in his 4 innings of work. Boyd had 1 run in with 2 outs and bases loaded in the 5th and on a 3-2 pitch with runners going on the pitch a misplayed ball in leftfield opened the flood gates. Boyd scored 4 times to take a 5-0 lead. Lawrence has a rally killed in the bottom half of the inning when they had men on 2nd and 3rd with only 1 out. The #9 batter strikes out and with the lead off man up with 2 outs the runner on second gets picked off by a throw from the catcher. LC puts brings in a new pitcher for the 6th. He seemed not to have much mound experience. He threw several wild pitches mixed in around many walks and a few chopped ground ball hits. Boyd scores 6 times to seal the mercy rule victory. LC must have been saving arms at this point for what looks to be a tough double-header tomorrow. Only seen LC a couple of times this year but have read a lot about them. They seemed to look very good against Perry County in the first game tonight banging out 15 hits and winning 11-1. Boyd (first time I have seen them this year) looked very solid. Definitely a top 20 team.

Pretty extensive research. However, I think Lawrence Co. should be in there. Defeated your #5 Boyd Co., #24 Ryle, #30 Shelby Co. 19 wins verses 8 losses with some losses coming from #19 Mercer (had 4-3 lead in 6th), #32 Male, #36 Johnson Central (lead 1-0 in 7th, gave up 2 unearned runs in bottom half) 3 losses on spring trip to 3 good southern teams. They play #45 Perry County Central and #5 Boyd Co. in a double header on Friday and Powell Co. and #42 Rockcastle Co. in a double header on Saturday. Four pretty good opponents in about 30 hours. I also believe they currently hold a #21 ranking in the current coaches poll. Just wondering if they were considered and not felt justified or just overlooked.
