FHS BB Posted February 28, 2007 Posted February 28, 2007 I decided to make a humor thread. What field does evreyone think is the worst in the state? I play for Frankfort and despite a new infield the outfield is in bad condition. I bet there are worst fields out there though.
STRIKE3 Posted February 28, 2007 Posted February 28, 2007 I won't say the name, but in right field there was a Library, 2 stories. 1st Floor - ground-rule 2B 2nd Floor - ground-rule 3B Roof and Over - HR
bellalumni40 Posted February 28, 2007 Posted February 28, 2007 Evarts Either there or Pineville. You are probably right though in saying Evarts is worse.

statmanhensley Posted February 28, 2007 Posted February 28, 2007 So I take it that it's a 14th Region school?
STRIKE3 Posted February 28, 2007 Posted February 28, 2007 So I take it that it's a 14th Region school?Field is no longer being used. Here's another one, which I won't use the name. Years ago, I played on a field, which had a piece of railroad tie, as the pitcher's rubber and had "cable", which is used as guy-wire to hold poles, as the outfield fence....:scared: My spikes get getting caught, on the mound.
BirdieCat Posted February 28, 2007 Posted February 28, 2007 I got one for ya! How about a field that is: *350+ down the right field line and only 225 down the left field line. *Has a very tall net (estimate 100 ft. tall) in left field that extends up the back of the football stadium bleachers and then up the light poles for the football field. Thus, the view outside left field is the back of the football stadium bleachers. *It has an extra foul pole just left of power alley that helps support the net. If you hit a ball over the net between this pole and the foul pole, it is a ground rule double not a home run. *There is an eight foot tall concrete wall down both the left and right field lines. *The outfield doubles as the parking lot for the football stadium in the fall. *The visitor bleachers are only two rows high. It's a site to be seen, but only once. If you have to.
Pat Dad Posted February 28, 2007 Posted February 28, 2007 So I take it that it's a 14th Region school? Strike3 is right. No longer being used. Now it serves as a partial parking lot. I did use this field, for a time, for practice. I couldn't see how a HS game was ever played there.
