Hadn't kept up with Hazard lately, they have four losses on the year, 2 to Nevada teams, and only one loss inside the region, they're definately the front runner heading into the tourney. LCC got a great draw, and have already beat Powell by double digits, I could see these teams ending up in the finals, just hoping that doesn't happen.

The way I heard it the winner of Hazard vs. Cordia plays the winner of Estill vs. Jackson City. Winner of Breathitt vs. PCC plays winner of LCC vs. Powell. Not sure when the second round is to take place? I believe Hazard, Estill, PCC, and LCC will advance.

Better team, I can agree with that, but they're not 15 points better. I remember the 29 point loss to LCC, the Engineers did not show up that night, it was one of them mysterious games, LCC could not miss and I doubt that's the case every night, don't get me wrong they're a great team, just not 15 points better.

Both kids were impressive especially the Cissell kid, the Riggs kid from Spencer Co. also caught my eye. The meet consisted of Dead Lift, and Bench, and there was a pretty good turn out for the lift, on bad part was some kids took the ACT and that held things up a bit at the end.

Watched the first quarter of this game, pretty ugly, but a great run by Brossart to pull this one back close.

Seemed as if there was more fans from St. Henry than UHA. Hard to pick a play of the game, Hopsen had 3 or 4 dunks, but #14 had a pretty sweet play. All in all, blowout UHA, Congrats.

Jordan Smart did not play, not sure why but I've heard it was due to a death in the family, if so my prayers are with him. There's no doubt about it Lex Cath is a very tough team. The Knights seemed very disciplined and were at the top of their game all night after the first two or three minutes.

Athleticism was a big factor in tonight's game.

Catholic dominated the entire game, but the Engineers never gave up. Estill made a couple of runs to bring the lead anywhere from 10-15 points but it was usually followed with a run by Catholic. Novosal #44 had an off game for Catholic, he missed some easy baskets at the beginning, and was in foul trouble the entire game. Catholic's press really gave Estill fits, but I'm proud of the boys for fighting this one out even though they were outmatched.

Estill came charging out of the gates, while Powell seemed to just settle for shots from the free throw line out, the Estill lead grew in the 1st half thanks to this. There were countless times in which the Pirates would come down the court with one shot and out, Estill did their part in blocking out and keeping the Pirates off the boards but it seemed to me in the first half Powell never really got into their offense much. I was surprised to see Kinser with as many points as he had, he was nearly non existant in the first half, but in the second half Powell's coach seemed to run a lot more plays geared towards Kinser's ability. Great district win for the Engineers in front of the home proud, we're proud of you boys.

The half court zone really gave Montgomery fits, and Central moved the ball on offense better than most teams I have seen. Montgomery couldn't handle the pressure and that's what got Central the W IMO.

Haven't seen this kid a lot, but have watched him on the football field as well as the hardcourt, no denying he's an athlete, and a brute, my only question is how well does he keep his head? Haven't seen him since he was a freshman I believe, and he had trouble with this in both sports.

Pretty solid game for the 'Neers tonight.

That's a great assessment of the Engineers, and as far as the Cougars go, if they play like they did last night, and the way they played against JBS, then come tourney time everyone better watch out. They're a scrappy team, with very small guards, but they hustle, play great D, and when their shots are falling they are easily a top 5 14th region team. Watch out for the Cougars.

The Cougars were the better time tonight, they had very hot shooters, and that coupled with no defense from the Engineers and a poor shooting night led to the margin of victory you see here.

"When you come out flat, you get flattened!" The Engineers did not come to play tonight, and even though I was impressed with Letcher Central, I don't feel they should've beat Estill by 29. Regardless of the outcome, great game for the Cougars, they were the better team tonight, and definately deserved the win.

It's good to hear that the Wright kid is ok, scary moment when a kid has to be carted off, hate to see that regardless of the opponent.

Solid win for the Engineers tonight, great defense. Best wishes to the young man for the Owls who went down hard tonight, any updates would be greatly appreciated.

Cackling and Hoover (freshman at the time) came up big 2 years ago, and were a big part of the win this season.

Was this game as exciting as the one between the two, two years ago?

Nice win over the Comets, should be a tough game with Johnson Central.

Estill was a part of this tournament 2 years ago, great trip, great tournament, overall a great experience.
