Final.

This one was played in Irvine, wasn't it? If so, I'm sure it was packed to the rafters.

Anybody have details?

Catholic dominated the entire game, but the Engineers never gave up. Estill made a couple of runs to bring the lead anywhere from 10-15 points but it was usually followed with a run by Catholic. Novosal #44 had an off game for Catholic, he missed some easy baskets at the beginning, and was in foul trouble the entire game. Catholic's press really gave Estill fits, but I'm proud of the boys for fighting this one out even though they were outmatched.

WOW!! I guess this puts everything in perspective. Estill County is not bad for a montain school, but their weakness is no big men. They get killed in that area when they play teams with size, and in Catholic's case, depth.

Athleticism was a big factor in tonight's game.

I heard Jordan Smart didn't play in this one for the Knights and Novosel maybe only saw 6 to 10 mins of playing time the entire game due to foul trouble. If so I'd say this is a pretty good win for the Knights w/ two of their best players not really contributing.

There's no doubt about that. I've seen LexCath on TV twice and they're more athletic than any team I've seen in the mountains.

Jordan Smart did not play, not sure why but I've heard it was due to a death in the family, if so my prayers are with him. There's no doubt about it Lex Cath is a very tough team. The Knights seemed very disciplined and were at the top of their game all night after the first two or three minutes.
