I've cheered for Garrard all year, but the Bobcats will just be too much. Garrard has some serious athletes and expected a little more out of them this year, but the only playoff teams from this region they could compete with would be Powell, or one of the other teams from their district. They should be very dangerous next year, after giving this coaching staff a little more time, good luck in Jackson.

I don't recall now, I know Benedict had 190 at halftime, Covey had over 100 and Roberts had close to that number as well. Estill's varsity O sat the second half.

Nearly 500 yards on the ground again tonight, had over 300 at halftime. The varsity offense didn't take a snap in the second half. KCC had some tough looking kids, fog really effected the game tonight.

Harlan should have no problem with this game. Earlier in the year, the Briar Jumpers could make a game out of this, but the Bears have improved far too much. Good luck to both teams.

If this would have been the case then I'm glad it wasn't a dry field, watching our db's trying to cover the receivers was scary enough wet. As far as the punishment goes, there was a small dose just not the usual. I seen flashes of Gilliam and can tell he's a solid back, but I believe Green gave us more fits, we haven't seen a kid this year that would constantly run it down your throat and continue to have success doing so for the entire game. Even the Fugate kid from Breathitt, he had around 40 yards until the final drive, ended with 79 I believe.

Russell and Harlan drop that far after losses to the 4th and 5th ranked teams?

The rain was a factor, but I believe it effected both teams a pretty fair share. Gillam's speed was hurt by the rain, but from watching the Engineers this year they have the ability (as ball carriers) to punish tacklers for four quarters. The same rain that effected Gilliam's running, effected the punishment from Estill's backs. I was actually thinking without the rain the sum of Estill's win would have been much greater. Either way, Harlan has improved tremendously since the Breathitt Co. game, nowhere near the same team. They will be a very dangerous threat come playoff time, good luck to the Black Bears.

368 yards rushing for the Engineers. Harlan has really improved over the last couple of weeks.

This game has some big playoff implications, luckily Estill will cement themselves as the #2 seed tomorrow night.

That is what originally got this thread started. I say Ohio playing last night, didn't get to watch the game, but remebered Lee heading up there after high school.

Had a question about a couple of high school football players over the last 6 or 7 years. Did they play college ball? If not what happened? And how are they doing now in life? In the past Estill has been very poor in terms of defending against the pass, but that's not been the case this year, and I don't believe it will give them fits on Friday.

I don't think Harlan is going to stop the Estill ground game. My big question is will Estill stop Harlan's?

There should be a decent following on Friday night. With the way both teams ground games have been working in the past, how many yards can we expect Friday?
