He is definitely good enough to play D1. He is big and strong, plus has decent jumper, and goes to the basket like no other.

I have heard Norte Dame.

The Irish would be a good fit for him.... what happened to Fla. and Billy Donovan looking at him...was that a rumor?

Yes Notre Dame offered Ty I heard he still may be waiting on Tubby, but with the amount of guards the cats will have next season I don't think it is likely.

My guess is he will become an 'Fightin Irish'.

Where does this kid play and who did he commit to?

Beckham plays AAU for the Derek Smith Allstars, high school for Louisville Ballard, and is commited to IUPUI. He is a 6'5" athletic combo-guard.

Congratulations to Ty Proffitt. He has had an outstanding career at South Laurel and he will fit in well in South Bend.

 

My sources told me a lot of schools loved his game, but were questioning how reliable an outside shooter he could be on the next level. I hope he shoots 500 threes a day to get that question mark answered.

 

Lexington Catholic's David Graves had a nice career with the Irish and I hope Ty will as well!
