*CORRECTION* Come to find out, we've got a correction on the Kasey Litzinger milestone. We, along with the official recordkeeper, have gone back to total up her six (!) years of points, and she is now recorded to be 2 points out of 5th place. She has 1526 career points and will have her next opportunity to officially move into that spot against Augusta on the 25th.

Untrue. Not taking anything away from Ferguson, but he scored 8-10 points (two threes, two free throws, and either one or two jumpers) in the final 4:00 after all of Mason's starters were out for good. Of his other 20 or so then, probably 12-15 were scored on Miller. Like I said, nothing against Ferguson, he looked like a very good player. Here's a question for fans that have seen Elliott play more often this year than the one time I have: has anyone equal to or with more length than Miller guarded Ferguson this season?

Maybe because of his team's stature, but not because of his offense. That's not to say Downing can't play offense, he just doesn't have to this season. However, Mofford is EXTREMELY underrated. He needs more pub than he gets.

I'm going to go ahead and say that "struggled" is not an indicator of either game these two played. On Dec. 7, MC led by as many as 26 in the 3rd and CovCath cut it to the final 10-point margin against the reserves. Then on Dec. 29 in the LexCath Holiday Classic, yeah CovCath led at the half (by 4), but Mason outscored them in the second half 40-18. You can bring up the Scott County and the first Lexington Catholic game as "struggles" for Mason County, maybe even Madison Central or Montgomery County in the MCIT. But I definitely wouldn't categorize either CCH game as one.

Yeah, I'm going to go ahead and have to, um, disagree on this. When it's an opinion (and we all know the saying, everyone has one), you don't lose credibility because of it. I'll also go on record as saying Keith is a better defender than Darius. That's no knock on either player.

I've not seen Monique Reid play, but according to the KHSAA, as of yesterday, she is averaging 30.5 ppg (second) and 18.8 rpg (tops in the state). WOW!!

It's a shame that the Mason County duo of De'Sarae Chambers and Lacey Cline aren't mentioned more. If they got half the hype Darius Miller got, they'd be top contenders. They are 1 and 2 all-time in Lady Royals' scoring history and are both all over today's state stat leaders.
