Sounds to me like you help fbcoach77 prove his point...that Ky HS coaches, due to having less talent, are some best HS coaches in the US. Anyone can win with D-1 players running around everywhere. We prefer (yeah right) the challenge.

Leon Hart, is a quality guy and coach. You would think everyone would learn their lesson about second guessing coaching, specially a coach with a successful history as Leon. UK fans were doing that......where are all of those critics that wanted him fired? Leon will have the program back on their feet next year. Be patient, let the coaches do the coaching and the fans do the cheering (NOT BOOING!) And you are right AcesFull, this is a thread that is promoting Leon, even though it was started to discredit his abilities as a coach.

A defensive player can be called for cutting also. An OLB was coming up and cutting the legs of pulling O-lineman and the Refs flagged him 15 yards for cutting. But this is very subjective as I witnessed another team do the same tactic over and over and the Refs let it go. As many different explanations we have ask 10 Refs and you will get more than one answer.

Mercer beat Boyle last season when they were playing in the WEAK 2-A...according to your posts...or am I reading into your words a little too much? Instead of fire...you should add a river or waterfall scene?:cry: Boyle is minus the #1 qb and will not score 42 pts vs a solid Mercer D.

A wise coach once said "sometimes a team learns more about themselves in a loss, than a victory!" With the new format...just get to the playoffs and peak in week 12! I didn't read were anyone put the 2 year old program up there with elite schools in the state...yet.

I'd say 4 losses by a total of 12 points is hardly reason for "derailment." The titans appear to be playing well...just not good enough...but each loss they have had a chance to win/tie.

I thought HS baseball started in Feb or March? Then there is "summer" ball and don't forget "fall" ball. To say "summer is for baseball" strikes a chord with me.

Big turn around? LC was better than Mercer...but big turn around? The score was 12-7 at the half! They COULD NOT RUN THE BALL! Coach French wants to run the ball! Neither team brought an O in the seond half...There may have been 1-2 first downs. LC did throw pretty well and more often than the last several weeks. I guess the staff found a weekness?

This thread could get interesting. I think this is the one night alot of people have been waiting for. Mercer to lose so they could say I told you so.

Coach Pardue and company are doing a great job of turning boys to men...the W/L colum (especially with the BRUTAL schedule) is truely over rated. If someone could show me that the current staff is leading youngmen down a path of poor decisions then this discussion would be valid. Coach Pardue and company suffered through a poor season (BC standards), yet went to the 2nd round...and held a ship together that had several rats aboard. I do not think the current admin is supporting the staff they way they should...if so this discussion and rumors about winning big would not be happening and there would not have been a "meeting" last year. Coach Pardue and company are great men, teachers, leaders, fathers, and coaches. Witch hunts are over rated!

The RB did his job. Nothing more, nothing less. I hate it when a "fan" thinks the leading rusher or passer should be the MVP. The OL was average at best. The D was above average vs. the 2 back I and below average vs. the spread. The soccer player/kicker should have been the MVP because he saved 2 special team TDs. That's going above and beyond the call of duty.
