Mercers speed was to much for the banged up warriors

Ouch! Looks like Mercer Co. came to play tonight. Keep your heads up and get ready for Dunbar.

They weren't the only ones banged up.

Hats off to the coaching staff. Some necessary adjustments made a world of difference tonight. Good effort overall. Nice to see Titan football on display again.

Wow, I hate to say it but it may be a long year for the warriors, didnt get to see the game but the score does its justice, now I know this team won state last year(Mercer) but this is also the same team that was beaten by Lincoln and Pulaski, not taking anything away from LC and PC but this is a blowout and at the Reservation to beat it all, the boys at SW better strap there helmets and get ready for what should be a tough week at practice.

Definitely had the "spark" tonight. Great effort from everyone. The adjustments made them play like a different team and gave opportunities for many different Titan players. Big success and huge effort on the field boys! We are very proud of you! :thumb: Remember the Titans, forevor!

What sort of adjustments did the 2 of you see? Do tell!

Southwestern is starting to show there lack of depth and experience. They will take there lumps this year but will be back even stronger next year. In football it is tough if you dont have a little depth and Southwesterns wheels come off quickly with only a couple of players hurt. Congrats Mercer

Coach Anderson is a great guy and a great coach, he'll have Southwestern back on track and in the mix of things, for sure. It looks like SW and Mercer are going to be dancing a few more times over the next couple years, both are very inexperienced still and this years versions of both teams will practically be the same for next year, as well. Best of luck Southwestern! Go Titans!!!!:thumb:

THEY (the team, all of them) just played better, like they are capable. The boys did a great job, on both sides of the ball. Offensively, if you really want to know, the play calling wasn't much different than it has been since the 1st game, a couple new wrinkles were added and they paid dividends, but the main plays that Mercer has been running all year were also executed much better. It's a domino effect if you will, the O-line plays better, it makes the RB's look better..the RB's block and run better, it makes the O-line look better. Trevor Short (QB) looked great, rushing for almost 200 yards, as did Jordan Yeast, Nathan Griffith and Norris Yeast. Defensively, the samething goes for the LB's, DL and Secondary....when all positions of the game are clicking and executing better, it makes everyone around look like they are playing better! Great job to all!!!

Mercer is a class team could have scored twice in last 5 minutes but they didn't. Be ready Sunday Warriors because it will be a long day of films.
