Shelby County at John Hardin Predictions

This is a JH and Shelby thread, but PRP beats Shelby. Too many skilled athletes and big hogs up front. -
Shelby County at John Hardin Predictions
Ed replied to Hard Work's topic in KY Football (High School)
PRP has more talent. I guarantee that...... I'm not saying their team is necessarily better but their talent is better. I saw them with my own eyes. 2nd most talented team Johhn played all year behind SW. Central doesn't have PRP talent. -
Shelby County at John Hardin Predictions

I would guess PRP and Central Hardin are both better than Shelby. Both 6A schools with more kids. Shelby is obviously a very good team at 11-1. -
Shelby County at John Hardin Predictions

Fly guy... Most all high school teams, to include John Hardin, would struggle losing a center, defensive end, and top running back. Mind you they did not play against Spencer. 11 carried it a few times before he left the game. I guarantee Coach Lewis will not use it as an excuse, but does it make a difference? Absolutely. What if Shelby lost 44 their best RB I guess they would be the same team right? That's not a real smart statement in my opinion. -
Shelby County at John Hardin Predictions

John Hardin is a MASH unit right now with all the injuries. Lucky to win last Friday with key guys out. It might be the end of the road Friday. Hard to overcome with that many kids being out against very good opponents. -
Should be a classic tomorrow. Two wing to teams trying to chess match one another. To comment on home field advantage John normally plays well at home. Last year was different due to injuries and overall team in general. They weren't as strong as normal years and STILL made the semi finals. Something must be going right in Bulldog nation.
-
HCP I'm not sure I would pencil them in that quick. Normally you are bashing John's discipline, coaching, etc. What has happened? If they advanced they have to beat 7-3 franklin, 10-1 Spencer, and 11-1 Shelby. That would be tough for anyone. John is playing the best they have all year long so they should be a tough out unless turnovers or weather come into play.

Thoughts on this one? Great round 1 game in the making.

John Hardin 38 Christian County 26

Didn't say they weren't. SW is the best team in 4A. Nobody is arguing that. -

ELIZABETHTOWN, Ky. — Six different Bulldogs combined for 55 carries and 398 yards Friday night, as John Hardin’s dangerous Wing-T offense was virtually unstoppable in a 38-26 win over Christian County. This clip was from the Kentucky New Era in Hopkinsville. I'm not a member so I can't post the rest of the article. I would like to read the quotes from Coach Lovelace. -

Is Austin a player for Franklin or Cal -
Agree. John Hardin district is bad. There are a lot of bad districts in the state. Franklin is a good team and plays in a good district. No argument here.
-
I wouldn't say they have played no one? The district they play in is very good. Maybe the best overall 4A district in the state. They beat Shelby who won the district. They can play for sure.
-
Hoss... Have you seen franklin? I haven't so I just assumed this would be a great round 1 game. Most round 1 games are lopsided. I don't think this one will be.
-
Franklin and John Hardin might be one of the best opening round matchups in the state round 1 of the playoffs.

I'm a big John Hardin supporter and fan as many readers know. I think this region is scary because there are so many good teams from the cross district. It would not shock me to see any of the teams from the other district coming out of the region. John has a good team, but it's not there is not the same talent level at John compared to past years. I hope my Bulldogs make it out of the region, but it will be tough to win week 1 more less week 3 of the playoffs. 1 game at a time.

I'm sure John Hardin's coaching staff is fully aware of Christian Co team speed. They have athletes for sure. I think it's a great week 10 matchup.

North Hardin @ Central Hardin
Ed replied to Hardin County Preps's topic in KY Football (High School)
Central... More disciplined, better coached, less mistakes, etc.... Right HCP? I pick Central because they have better players and athletes. Yes I know believe it or not Central has better athletes than North as a team. -
Can the 3A champ come from outside the Big 3?
Ed replied to gchs_uk9's topic in KY Football (High School)
Lex Cath or Caldwell would be the only possible teams to make it to the finals. Caldwell would shock me if they made it to the finals. Catholic has a better chance as a true sleeper. That region will tough be tough to make it out with Boyle, Central, and Cath all fighting it out. I think if Lex Cath wins the region they make it to the finals. -
North isn't the same North Oldham. Just my opinion. Lost too many kids.

John had them beat. 2 missed wide open passes that were for sure TD's and 2 clear block in the backs on 2 different punt returns that were not called. Big returns completely changed the game. Calls were easy calls that were missed.

Central KY. John Hardin has 2 nice freshman starting varsity. Isaac Keener-TE. 6'0 210 and Isiah Reed -DT 6'2 240. Both are going to be really good ball players. Gaining valuable experience playing the schedule JH is playing.
