Well, I'm not going anywhere. If I can still somehow find a way to be an Oakland Raiders fan then I don't think you have to worry about me running and hiding.

The thing that would worry me about Mercer, is what would we do if our run game got shut down? We can throw the ball but we havent had to really all year. I think they are legit top 15. I know what Henry Clay did to Boyle But Mercer has Henry clay speed from top to bottom. Now I'm not saying that they would beat HC. But as far as athletes they can match up. But, you can't win on talent alone. And, I realize that Mercer hasn't played any horses so there is no way they can prove themselves this year. They will play some good teams in the playoffs that can beat them. But there isnt anyone in class AA that if Mercer beats that will improve their stock value in the eyes of most on this site. And I understand that completely.

Well Coach Buchannon from Mason co is a Mercer graduate and I am familiar with their merger with maysville. I don't think BGP was up and running back then so it must not be part of the mystery here.

I merely stated that we are in the same area of Danville and Boyle. Alot of talent has came from this area. I never said nothing about a dynasty or state championships. I was stating that Mercer is going to be a very competitive in 5A. I think Mercer has a great shot at their 1st title this year though.

I totally agree. Lincoln and Mercer will renew a rivalry from way back. Maybe we can have more success against you guy this time. I can't wait to come down 27 south.

Mercer County is central ky football. We might have not done much before. But, it sure is funny that in year 1 of the new era there is such a difference in talent at the school. There is a whole lot more talent here then you know. How does Danville do it year in and year out? How did Boyle go on that run? With the same kind of kids that are on the Mercer team that's crossed over into a new era. There is a whole lot of talent in this area of the state. I think Danville has proven that year end and year out. Mercer is about to.

Casey scored 19 points on a stingy Mercer defense. They had a couple very nice drives. The Casey rushing attack is good. The Patterson kid stood out to me.

Good point. With the merge Mercer is more capable of sustaining injuries then the rest in AA.

Maybe not 11 but I'm sure there are a few more then mentioned already.

If Mercer County doesn't win state then whoever stops them is just the better team. They aren't going to blow anything. They are too well coached.

I think they have to play no matter what the score is the next couple of weeks. They need to be prepared.

I don't know who said Newport wasnt a good team. But from our side of the fence that had to be an isolated incident. I think Lloyd has to be able to absorb that first knockout punch cause it will come. If they sustain that and come back swinging then you never know what might happen.

I just think these are the two teams that seem to be playing at another level.

You are right. I hate it when they go spiraling out of control and it just keeps getting worse. Mercer will have to win it on talent alone if we do it. We have some guys that have been to the playoffs but noone who has been Deep. We have the talent to do it but we will just have to see what the guys are made of once november gets here.

I can see where you are coming from and I respect that. That's why they play the games. It's almost playoff time.
