We havent passed much. But we can. We did a little in this game when they stacked the line on us. We werent having any trouble running the ball on Spencer but we took the opportunity to throw some.

Sounds like a baller to me. Jeepman I believe Russell can play with us. I think there are 3 or 4 teams that worry me. There are more that are capable but those 3 or 4 really concern me.

Sounds like a nice qb to me. What's he rushed for on the year?

Likewise. This is nowhere near the same team as it was last year. Which isn't a secret. They hit alot harder and they constantly bring pressure. If they play a team that has a good qb he has to be very mobile. The defense plays with alot of passion. All the points the offense scores takes away alot of the glory from our defense. It's very good. But, I know there are alot of capable teams out there that are solid on both sides of the ball. From what I here Russell is this year as well.

I think that Boyle co will take them out.

We have rushed for over 4,000 yards this year. You have to block to have numbers like that. We are a very good blocking team. They lay alot of punishing blocks. Please dont be mistaken in thinking the Titans are a finesse team. Every touchdown in the Spencer game except for one went for 50+ yards. I remember having a couple 14 or 15 play drives in the Newport game. You don't do that without good play from your line. That turf was very slippery that night so we had to play alot of straight ahead football to get the job done. It negated alot of our backs strengths with their cutting.

Hold off on those rings. I know before the season kicked off following the merger that alot of unhappy people around here were saying that the Titans of Mercer were going to have conflicts with playing time. It has to be hard to make a sacrifice with your playing time that you had last year to guys who werent even your teammates last year. Some around here said they would fall apart and be lucky to win half their games. Now, they own our town. They have exceeded big time!

That's pretty obvious as to being one of the biggest advantages. But, still these guys were bitter rivals last year and have been playing together for about 4 months. Hats off to the coaching staff for what they've done so far. I don't care how many guys you have on that sideline. You still have to execute. The coaching staff in my mind has been a big key as well. Now the battles begin.

It's Mercer co now. Yes, all sports are combined. They will have one heckeva track team as well. Yes, I want to see a Mercer/Russell title matchup myself.

As far as toughness you are way wrong. Mercer is a very tough team and they have a nasty attitude on the defensive side of the ball. The starters have given up 39 points through 9 games. Middlesboro doesnt have the defense to stop Mercer. I think it will take a Russell or Belfry to stop Mercer. They have kids with championship experience. That's somthing the Titans lack. But, make no mistake they want that.

Look at Lincoln co this year. They have just over 1100 students. Dunbar in the same class has over 2000. I believe that Lincoln is at a disadvantage #'s wise here. Thats just one example. I know Mercer has a huge advantage but look at the bigger picture. This has been happening in the upper classes for some time. We just have this advantage for one year. Even though I admit it might not be right but, we have to play somewhere.
