Well you guys shouldnt have any trouble finding the Mercer field since you were here 2 weeks ago. Good luck and have a safe trip down.

Herein lies the problem with the playoff system. Why would any casual Lloyd Memorial fan want to drive all the way to Harrodsburg to watch these two teams play, when they made the same trip two weeks ago and watch a shellacking. Major problems with this setup!

By the way...Mercer in a rout.

Kids do the same ... once the lower seed falls behind in these early games , they play like they are beat ... I agree , first round games are meaningless .. with exception everyone gets to feel good leading up to firiday night about being in the playoffs and that is likely what it's all about ...

this one will get pretty ugly; sorry Lloyd Memorial fans but Mercer Co. seems to be destined for a path to Papa John's, with Western or Larue Co. in the way:

Can Newport revenge the regular season loss?

yes.

Newport 14

Spencer co 7

Mercer's outstanding defense and explosive offense will be too much for Lloyd to handle again:

Hopefully we will see more of this......

Now thats called getting to the ball. I think it will be around the same score as last time.

Mercer will roll harder. i think Llyod is a little scared. they havent been in last place in a while. so Mercer in win even bigger than the last game.

Go Mercer:ylsuper: :ylsuper: :ylsuper: :ylsuper:

Mercer Co. 42-7.

Yes, Newport wins 21-14.

I think Spencer had a player ejected in Mercer game. I don't know who, if he was he won't be available for Newport game.
