Junior03

It should be tough but those boys can do it, they always do.

This thread can be postponed for some time because no one has even interviewed for the job.Interviews will be given the first week of Febuary and the announcement of the coach will be given on the 15. End of Story

I agree a Shamrock would know the most.

Go Sheila!!

My nephew is on the Mercer County 2006 team, he was wondering how long it will be before they recieve their state rings? Any inspiration from you Thoroughbreds, Shamrocks or Colonels?

I hear both St. X's, and possibly a trinity rematch. I am not sure about the tenth game Louisville because that spot is normally reserved for Highlands.

I understand you pure devotion to your school, and I respect that. But sometimes you have to accept the fact that maybe another school had the edge this year. But hey, if I were in your position I would probably be doing the same thing

No one knows for sure if coaches are leaving at this point in time. People have said Rodenberg wants to take a step up and possibl get to the college level. I hardly think he would take a step back and go to Roger Bacon after he has rediscovered a dynasty at Covington Catholic fist started by Lynn Ray. Besides I hear the underclassman have some weapons that are a threat at a repeat in 3A next year. Covington Catholic will only help his career in reaching a college position.

Cov Cath is on a train that can't be stopped

great job sam

I was standing in the corner of the endzone along the fence and it was pretty clear that Bleser was across the plane before the ball popped out. I agree that that score would have sealed the deal. Overall one of the best highschool games ive ever been too.

Im gonna go with CCH in this one...too many weapons for lexcath to contain....May have lexcaths coaches heads spinning. Highlands tried to double cover peter sutton and he still added about a sixty yard score. They also tried to cover Bovard....the outcome resulted in a huge running game.

3A State Champions-CCH

This game could have been a lot worse. Congratulations to highlands though, i feel your pain about going home early, but there is always next year. Anybody know how the sportsmanship played out?? I know in the Jv game people were ejected.....

Bleser to sutton

Much different team now. Not as predictable as the last 20 years.

2 of the 3? Kramer was shut down with less than 65 yards and CCH is supposed to worry about 2 other "Secret Weapons" ????????????????? Controlling Cecil and Kramer will be sufficient.

IMO, how do they stop Bovard, Sutton, Brown, or Buckley. Brown had his way with their defense and should carry the ball more this game.

Lex cath South Oldam Cov Cath Highlands

From what I heard the kid was run off into the cch sideline, something was said, and they both went at it.

Rodenberg from covcath and Tom Spritzky from Dixie. Although Dale Mueler is good I believe others have the edge on him this year

I can see where the players knee was possibly down, but if you review the film:as the player was brought to the ground, he stretched the ball just far enough to cross the alumini srtipe, then his knees fell to the ground and he slammed it on the line. Its hard to say that this was a hometown call because the refs were actually from HighLand Heights.

In response to whether Shouse's (CCH receiver) knees were down prior to the ball crossing the goal line, I reviewed the film and the ball clearly breaks the goal line prior to his knees hitting the turf. Close play but the refs got this one right.

Sam Flynn

This should be one of the more exciting games of the week. I understand that elder has a defensive end that plays some good football, but can Sutton contain him?
