  1. September 26th Lone Oak vs Calloway County at the graveyard. I give Lone Oak the edge with the crowd & the Haskins factor. I like Lone Oak chances of repeating the district title. The loss of 16 seniors will hurt but the cupboard isn't bare. It should be an exciting 3 horse race for the title.
  2. #8 JAMARIELLE BROWN returns this fall. He was the one that return the KO for a Td against No Bullitt that turn the game completely around (LO trailed by 19 pts). My understanding is he getting a lot of attention from D-1 schools. He went to Junior Day at UK this past Sunday. He will be the qb this fall & has a strong arm plus can run also. He should be a frontrunner for Mr. Football 2008
  3. The tall receiver will be the quarterback next season & the offense will probably have a different look. I think Lone Oak will have a very competive team next season. Haskins has the program in a reload mode from here on out which should produce winning seasons & possible another trip or two to Louisville in December
  4. I totally agree 100%. I wonder why Tilghman didn't take their time & post the job & get the best possible candidate for the job?
  5. LONE OAK DISTRICT MUHLENBERG NO CALLOWAY CO HOPKINS CO CENTRAL COUNTY HEATH REIDLAND NON-DISTRICT PADUCAH TILGHMAN MARSHALL CO GRAVES CO MAYFIELD CALDWELL CO OR TRIGG CO
  6. He can bring some of his under classman with him to Paducah & they can come & play for Lone Oak.
  7. In Western Ky, probably Mayfield or Marshall. However, Reidland, Muhlenberg North & Ballard may wanted to argue since they were probably 3-30 & couldn't beat anyone. Kinda like Lone Oak's 2001 schedule 0-10 that was a very tough schedule.
  8. Who do you think will be the next head coach at Tilghman? I'm sure they would try to lure Jack away from Lone Oak but I think he will remain with us.
  9. Doesn't Lone Oak open with Crittenden County next year at the Trice Hughes Bowl ?
  10. 2) Crittenden Co I remember watching them at the Trice Hughes Bowl & getting beat bad by Glasgow & then they lost a couple of key players.
  11. 1) Lone Oak (14-1) 2) ? 3) Jack Haskins 4) Lone Oak vs Warren East (38-35) 5) Lone Oak/Bowling Green 6) Ft. Campbell 7) Mayfield 8) Corey Robinson 9) Bowling Green 10) Lone Oak getting hammered by Lex Cath
  12. If Haskins stays at Lone Oak, he should put up some big numbers over the next few years. There is some good young players coming up thru the program. The middle school program was pretty strong this year.
  13. Western Ky football is not very good when you compare it to the rest of the state.
  14. What about Marty Jaggers (Mercer Co) ?
  15. Jack Haskins Lone Oak
  16. 1) Trinity 2) Highlands 3) St. X 4) Lex Cath 5) Toss Up
  17. 1st Congrats to Lexington Catholic, they were definetly a better team than Lone Oak & deserved the 4A Championship. Lone Oak was beaten in every phase of the game yesterday. However, they still can hold their heads up high & be proud of their achievement this year (14-1). The future looks bright for Lone Oak & they just have to work that much harder to have another shot at the championship.
  18. I cheated had a sheet of previous winners.
  19. Lynch East Main in 1963 beat Shelbyville 13-6 after losing in 61 & 62.
  20. Lone Oak's schedule compared to Lex Catholic is as different as daylight & darkness. However, Lone Oak played a typical Lone Oak schedule that they have been playing for years. Its pretty much the same as the 2001 season when Lone Oak was 0-10 & only scored 19pts while giving up over 50 pts. I think Lone Oak's schedule was just fine & it didn't matter come playoff time. Just what kind of schedule does a team that has had just 3 winning seasons in 25 years schedule anyway ? I don't think you would schedule ST X or FTH or Trinity etc.
  21. Hopefully, Robinson will put up some big numbers on Saturday but the key for Lone Oak will be the play of special teams & the defensive unit. Lone Oak can ill afford to give up the big play & must come up with some stops on the defensive side of the ball in order to have a shot at winning this game.
  22. Good Luck Ft Campbell! We'll be rooting for you guys
  23. The last time I went to a state championship game was in 1972 when Trigg County won for the 2nd straight year against Pikeville 22-0 at Stoll Field. I was a middle school student both years. The 1st year, I rode the pep bus & the 2nd year went with my best friend & his dad. Let me tell you that the pep bus was really rocking. Now, 35 years later I'll be supporting my son's team the Lone Oak Purple Flash. The school, community & whole town of Paducah has showed a tremendous amount of support fot the Flash. We hosted 4 playoff games & each one was a packed house & an exciting atmosphere. We can't wait for Saturday. Win or lose, its been a season to remember.
  24. Yes it will but most of the starters have played on MSU field before.
  25. Coach Steve Duncan @ Lone Oak. He truly made an impact this year.
