  2. Very important game for both teams for district implications. I like Lone Oak to win by a couple of Tds. I think the Storm is a dangerous team. If Lone Oak wins Friday night then they should easily run the table for the remainder of the regular season. The key to this game will be which defense can stop the other guy. Lone Oak must improve significantly on defense, if they are going to make a serious run during the playoffs.
  3. Daviess Co Lone Oak Henderson Co Christian Co Greenwood Tb Lone Oak
  4. I watched Hopkinsville beat Lone Oak during the preseason & thought they were an improved team from the past year. I don't think Ft. Campbell would beat them by more than 40 pts.
  5. Scribe, Who will score more points tonight Ft. Campbell or Lone Oak? Lone Oak has 28 pts with 2:54 left in the 1st quarter. Its a shame Lone Oak & Ft. Campbell don't play one another.

  8. What a game if you like a lot of offense. Neither team could stop the other guy for the majority of the night. Official almost cost Lone Oak the game late in the 4th quarter when they rule a fumble on an apparent 1st down that should have been blown dead. However what a terrible decision by the Laker coaching staff to put the ball in the air when all they needed was to run some clock and kick a short field goal at the end of regulation and go home with a 3pt victory. Hats off to Calloway they were a better team then I thought & have some weapons on offense. Both teams need to work on defense to go deep into the playoffs.
  9. I like the home team in this one. It should be a packed house on Friday night. I don't see Calloway's defense stopping the high octane Purple Flash offense. The key will be Lone Oak's defense in deciding the final outcome. I'll say Lone Oak 48 to Calloway Co 26.
  10. The answer is yes, they have a really good offense & a very weak schedule outside of district games with Calloway Co & Hopkins Co Central. Last year, Lone Oak completed 75% of their pass attempts compared to about 65% this year. However, they run the ball with sucess this year.
  11. I heard thru the grapevine that Lone Oak has made some changes of the defensive side of the ball this past 2 weeks which has been their biggest problem thus far. I like the balance they shown thus far on the offensive side of the ball. I think Lone Oak will go 10 & 0 during the regular season.

  14. Strength of schedule would help you out if you had some quality wins against teams that have won some games. I would think Hopkins Co Central or Calloway would have the advantage over Lone Oak if this scenario comes into play.
  15. What would happen if Lone Oak, Calloway Co & Hopkins Co Central ended up 2-1 in the regular season. What would be the tiebreaker ?
  16. Hopkins Co Central probably has more speed than either Lone Oak or Calloway Co & didn't lose much to graduation last year. Hopkins Co Central could very easily win the district this year. I definitely see it being a 3 horse race. I like the fact that Lone Oak plays both at home which is a huge advantage. Is this years playoff format different from last years?
  17. Calloway could be thinking ahead about Lone Oak next week. I'll take the home team to win 34-26
  18. Heath football is at or below rock bottom. Caldwell County wins this one easily by 3 TD's.
  19. Murray should control this game with their running attack & homefield advantage. Murray 26 Trigg Co 14
  20. Calloway Co @ Lone Oak Christian Co vs Hopkinsville Daviess Co @ Graves Co Crittenden Co @ Mayfield Franklin-Simpson @ Warren East
  21. Metcalfe County Owensboro Marshall County Fulton City Muhlenberg North TB Marshall Co
  22. Thanks Westsider; I figured it would be a close game that could go either way.
