Should be a good game and the winner should have the inside track for the District Championship. Based on opponents it's kind of hard to see who is the favorite.

 

Mayfield lost to a superior Ft. Campbell team that is drumming everyone, a come from behind win against Ballard Memorial and a loss to cross town Rival Graves.

 

Crittenden blew out Lake Co. TN who I believe is average at best, got spanked by Lone Oak, however it was 14-13 when they lost star RB Rodney Roberston to a broken hand, a sound defeat to Calloway Co. and then drummed a speedy Fulton City team last night.

 

Should be a good game this Friday, I'll be there!

After the start they've had to the season, Mayfield needs a statement game, to show they are still the big dog. In the past, they have always stepped up to a challenge, moreso in District competition. I'd expect the same to happen here, especially with it being at home. I expect Crittenden to make a great game of it but have to take Mayfield.

I think Mayfield handles Critt easily, also. Critt.Co. has played Mayfield close one time. Mayfield is not that bad, they are just not what we expect. If Mayfield can finally put together 4 solid quarters I look for around a three TD victory.

They've played them close more than 1 time. The last time they played, Mayfield squeaked by 3 points and they aren't as good as they were last year. I'm not saying Crittenden will or will not win, but think it's awful cocky to think they will win this game going away when the last time they played they barely squeaked by and almost lost to Ballard Memorial a week ago...

Critt came to town with confidence from 04 and as I recall the score was 34-6. Not saying that history will repeat itself but that just because it was a close game last year it will probably not have any bearing on the outcome of this game. Critt may play them close or even beat them but in my opinion if Mayfield plays this game ready and takes care of business I look for at least a 3 TD victory.
