It all depends on which Mayfield team shows up, if the one that shows up to the Graves game shows up, it should be a victory. But if the Ballard game team shows up, anything can happen IMO. I expect the coaches to have these kids fired up for this game, it probably helps to be coming in with a losing record. I expect Crittenden to be especially fired up with such a close game last year in the playoffs, I imagine they have been preparing for this game ever since then. The winner of this game gets homefield advantage in the playoffs. If Mayfield loses this game, there will be some travel time involved for sure. I would hope that since its Mayfield's first home game, they will be in their element and really show what kind of team they are.

The game with Graves was very even...Mayfield moved the ball well, but, had a couple of key turnovers that turned the game in Graves favor and the fake punt by Graves was a back breaker...I was actually surprised with the Cards defense...They played well most of the night, but, did give the Eagles a couple of big plays...I think Crittenden is a solid 1a team and they've played some good competition thus far and that will help them in this game...I think the Cards will come out on top but I don't think it'll be a blowout... Mayfield 26 Crittenden Co 14...

Mayfield rebounds 34-14.

IF Mayfield can hold on to the ball then Mayfied wins 28-14...if they continue to turn the ball over like they have then it could be a tight ball game. The score with Crittenden over Fulton City surprised me...not the fact they won...but by the margin they did.

Mayfield did play alot better last week against Graves County than they did the week before. I thought in the first half they pretty much outplayed Graves County until the late turnover gave Graves the ball and the score before half took the wind out of the sails...as did the turnover to start the 2nd half when Mayfield was on the verge of a go-ahead TD. Mayfield just needs to take care of the ball and they will be fine the rest of the year...but taking care of the ball is key.

Rocket what is the health of your running back...seems like you guys always get snakebit at least once or twice in the year.

He's out 3 or 4 more weeks, but they've had some younger players step up, I wish Rodney could come back and just play D at this point.

Sorry to hear that he is still out...I know that would be like Mayfield losing Murrell for any length of time.
