Just to get something started I decided to look for the undefeated teams of 4A. So far Bell County, Boyle County, Lone Oak, Marion County and North Bullitt have started the season off undefeated and the question I'm asking is...do all these teams have a chance at finishing the REGULAR SEASON off undefeated? Obviously not considering North Bullitt will host Marion County this season and one of those teams will have to lose! I don't know too much about Lone Oak and Marion County so I can't really judge them. I can see North Bullitt finishing the regular season off undefeated as well as Boyle County and Bell County. Marion County, traditionally has always been bad and I just don't see them going undefeated, they will lose a couple IMO with one of them being against North Bullitt. How good is this Lone Oak team this year and do they have a chance at finishing the regular season off undefeated?

Lone Oaks probably better this year than last overall...No, they don't have a Cory Robinson throwing for a kazillion yds and touchdowns, but, there offense is more balanced and there defense is better and alot of those kids got valuable experience last year in there run to state...Even so, Calloway Co and Hopkins Central are also good and will give the Purple Flash all they want in District 1, but, they do play both at home, so, I'd say they have a good chance of going 10-0 when alls said and done...

IMO Lone Oak has the easiest path. We all know what the West is like. Bell IMO has the next easiest schedule. Only remaining team with a chance is Tates Creek.

I agree hope they get better non-district teams next season.

Yeah it has been the going thing for the last few years. Everyboyd is getting sick of seeing Bell put another shutout on somebody, scored 50, and rushed for 400 yards. Im getting tired of hearing it.

I agree. It looks like only one of the remaining teams on Loan Oak schedule has a winning record. Boyle County has a tough schedule with Lexington Catholic still to be played. Both Marion and North Bullitt have very little remaining competition on their schedules this year other than district games. North and Marion could easily lose at least one district game each. It also looks like North Bullitt has Bullitt Central on their schedule and they are undefeated. If North Bullitt played a tougher schedule it would make easier to tell what kind of chance they have of going undefeated. Bell County only has one team remaining on its schedule with even a five hundred or better record. Bell and Loan Oak should have a good shot at going undefeated.

Lone Oak's defense is nowhere near as good as it was last year and could be the Achilles Heal for the team when it's all said and done. Agree that their offense is more balanced this year. But, the bulk of the rushing looks like it's coming from QB Brown.

The Lone Oak team is a good one. They well have strong challenges against Calloway Friday night and in a couple of weeks with Hopkins Central. Their defense really needs to step up to win those games. If they win those two, they should win out on the rest of their schedule.

I heard thru the grapevine that Lone Oak has made some changes of the defensive side of the ball this past 2 weeks which has been their biggest problem thus far. I like the balance they shown thus far on the offensive side of the ball. I think Lone Oak will go 10 & 0 during the regular season.

I forgot to add one more undefeated team into the Mix-up.

Valley had a bye week in week 1 and week 3 but in week 2 they played Moore winning 51-0. Valley is (1-0), any chance of a undefeated regular season? Don't really don't much about them but IMO I wouldn't imagine this happening! Lone Oak is (3-0) thus far and has been been a scoring machine averaging out a 4A best 55 ppg! Valley is 2nd in 4A in scoring but has played only 1 game and played a team that has been blown out every game so far. Now, back to the Lone Oak offense, someone said earlier that they don't have that quarterback bombing passes everywhere but how good is the offense overall? Are they really this good with their offense or is it a weak schedule? I just want the inside scoop from someone who has seem them play.

The answer is yes, they have a really good offense & a very weak schedule outside of district games with Calloway Co & Hopkins Co Central. Last year,

Lone Oak completed 75% of their pass attempts compared to about 65% this year. However, they run the ball with sucess this year.

Still won't matter because they may make it to the state title game but won't win. The western part of the state is the weakest.
