  2. This year senior class went up to Cadiz & played Trigg Co in a freshman game 3 years ago & absolutely beat their pants off & that was without Corey Robinson. IMO there is only a couple of teams In Western Ky that would beat us (Bowling Green & Owensboro). I think Lone Oak could beat the likes of Mayfield, Trigg Co, Paducah Tilghman etc. However thats not going to happen this year.
  3. Lone Oak plays Fulton City, week 10, Oct. 26th at home. As for the Todd County game, that was a non-district game; unfortunately would have been hard to schedule Mayfield or Tilghman since they were playing each other last night. Obviously, Lone Oak has to schedule everyone in their district and Reidland & Heath since they in our county.
  4. Before Jack Haskins arrived at Lone Oak in 2004, They only had 1 winning season in the last 20 years. Since his arrival, 6-5 in 2004, 5-5 in 2005 & 5-5 in 2006. This year he now stands at 4-0 & has an excellent shot at finishing 10-0 or at least 9-1.
  5. Not my school now but here's a few more from Western Ky: Caldwell Co: Joe Jaggers (60's), J Fuqua (90's) Trigg Co: Eddie Radford (60's), Shelby Grubbs (70's), Vic Grubbs (70's) Todd Co: Troy Snardon (70'S)
  6. Jack Haskins Lone Oak. He pulled a Lazarus with the Lone Oak football program 4 years ago (raised the dead).
  7. Lone Oak #75 Jeff Prescott 6'3" 295. Excellent footwork for a guy his size.
  8. 7) Mayfield 5) Webster County 3) Boone County 2) McClean Co 1) Reidland TB Webster County
  9. 1) Bowling Green 2) Owensboro 3) Warren East 4) Lone Oak 5) Graves Co 6) Madisonville 7) Marshall Co 8) Daviess Co 9) Christian Co 10 Calloway Co
  10. Calloway didn't need to score any more pts late in the game, they had a 28-21 lead. All they had to do was get a 1st down or two & the time would have expired. Calloway coach had his players leave the field during the celebration that is why the teams didn't shake hands. As for the flag at mid-field, I don't necessarily agree with it but I kinda like it. If Calloway beats us in a rematch, they can put their flag on our mid-field
  11. I'm probably bias also, my question would be who is the 2nd best quarterback in the state? Corey Robinson of Lone Oak has put up some impressive numbers thru 4 games this year. 144-105-3 (Att-Cmp-Int) 72.9 Pct 1452 Yds & 25 Tds. Last Friday night, rallied his team late from a 14 pt deficit & scored the winning Td in OT on a 10 yard Qb draw against a very good Calloway County squad.
  12. Nice comeback win on the road by the Flash. In the future, cannot dig themselves that big of a hole & expect to get the win. Calloway is not a bad team & could have won the game if they had managed the ball better at the end of regulation. Lone Oak is definetly the more explosive team & I don't think a rematch (probably at Lone Oak) will be nearly as close. Lone Oak must defend against the pass better. Calloway is a very good team & will be dangerous for sure the next couple of years.
  13. If the game is a shoot-out If its a defensive battle Lone Oak 31 Calloway 13
  14. Lone Oak #23 Mickey Tucker, Two time All WKC Defense Linebacker. The kid will flat out blister your knees.
  15. Power 87, explain why you had Lone Oak #10 in week #2 & they won their next 2 games over Caldwell Co (who you have listed #8 small) & Obion Tn by 50 plus pts each. It doesn't make a lot of sense, in additon most everyone else has Lone Oak rank somewhere in their top 10. Whats the beef with Lone Oak? Lone Oak players didn't make their schedule
  16. Out of 25 Contestants, not a single person picked Calloway over Lone Oak. That kinda scares me.
  17. Lone Oak beat Ballard in 2006 32-0
  18. Toothpick, Mayfield's schedule isn't much tougher. I noticed that they share 4 common opponents (Heath, Caldwell Co, Calloway Co & Fulton City). Ballard & Crittenden Co are not exactly powerhouses. Marshall & Paducah Tilghman are a little down this year. Graves is probabaly Mayfield's toughest opponent. It would have been fun to see Lone Oak play Mayfield this year. I have always said Mayfield is the best football program in Western Ky.
  19. No Way for Calloway to score 42 pts against Lone Oak's Defense
  20. I like Lone Oak's chances at running the table this year in regular season play. The two most difficult games will be at Calloway (Fri night) & at Hopkins Co Central (Oct 5th). 10 & 0 season would be sweet.
  21. That would be the only way for Calloway Lakers to beat Lone Oak but I just don't see it happening. If Lone Oak is able to get a 14 pt or more lead in the game then Calloway will be forced to throw & get out of their ground game & I just don't think they can win a high scoring game with the Flash
  22. 1) Bowling Green 2) Owensboro 3) Warren East 4) Lone Oak 5) Christian Co 6) Warren Central 7) Graves Co 8) Apollo 9) Madisonville 10) Marshall Co
