Okay folks...let's hear it for these two longtime rivals to be played this Friday night at Tilghman's McRight Stadium. Tilghman has played a tough schedule and very well could be 4-1 or 5-0; while Mayfield has rolled through their first four opponents. Normally I would say it is Tilghman's speed versus Mayfield's power...this year it is speed versus speed as both teams have speedy tailbacks and a defenses that can fly to the football. Big question will be if Mayfield's quarterback Logan Armstrong is back in the lineup this week after seperating his left shoulder against Graves County two weeks ago or will it be freshman Luke Guhy getting his second straight start. Guhy played very well last week going 12-15 for 215 yards with two touchdowns and one INT. Should be a very big game for both teams heading into the second half of the season.

This year I just pray for literally no TORNADO WARNINGS on the night of the game like last year's!!!

Mayfield will have to play a full game against the Tornado...I like Mayfield's chance as long as the line can block the speedy line Paducah has. Should be a very nice night for football...Two scores from me!

At the start of the season I would have probably agreed wholeheartedly, but Eric Noonan has come in and played quite well and is piling up the tackles since he has come in on a full time basis. Cards depth on the defensive side of the ball has impressed me so far this season. Don't get me wrong Logan is a big loss on the defensive side of the ball...but right now he is needed most on the offensive side of the ball to keep opposing defenses honest. Nothing against Luke Guhy who did a fantastic job and will be a great QB at Mayfield...just nice to have Logan back running the team on offense.

The game being at McRight Stadium in Paducah will give PT a slight advantage, but, it's not like Mayfield isn't used to playing there.. I think both teams defenses are there strength, so, I expect a low scoring game, which means a big play or turnover one way or the other could decide it.. If Armstrong can go at QB, then I think the Cardinals can score at least 2-3 times while I think Mayfields defense can contain PT to under 2 scores..The kicking game could also be big and I give McNutt the edge there.. Here's how I see it.. Mayfield 17 Tilghman 13...

I think this could be the the first real speedy team to test Mayfield. I do believe that Mayfield has more weapons overall that PT has, which could keep PT confused all night. It will be good if Logan comes back if for nothing more than the leadership. I know that #28 I believe for PT is huge and he must have been totally overlooked by Graves in that game cause he was picking up some nice yardage in that game. I know another player to look out for on PT is #18, he can really turn on the burners on the corners from what I saw. Kicking game could really be a factor in this game especially cause it has came down to way too many close games over the years, I say Mayfield 21 PT 14
