Roc4 - Having read a couple of post on baseball this season I recall that there was "concern" for third base play for the Rocks. Not following personnel, I have no clue who plays for any of these teams.... Did the issue get resolved or did the issue fuel the fire which resulted in the play discussed above? If I remember, underclassman were playing in front of more than capable upperclassman...???

^ Maybe that soft district that Trinity plays in did not prepare them well for the regional? Just a thought... Im surprised that the Rock supporters are not respecting CAL after what they did last night to the Rocks...

Pitching is key for X. If Just can throw a nice game and only give up 1 or 2 runs the entire game, then I would feel X is in pretty good shape. Offense should score beyond 1 or 2 runs. As for CAL, pitching will hold the key. CAL must have a stellar pitching game to stay in the game against the Tigers. If CAL gets rocked early, it may be a bad situation. Pitching, Pitching and defense will win this game for either team. Both are capable, yet I have to give the edge to the Tigers.

Competition has a lot to do with the success or lack of success of your #2, #3 and # 4 pitchers.....

To me it really makes baseball playoffs so unpredictable. It really comes down to pitching. If you don't have a good one going for you, you will be going home. Congrats to all the teams on their efforts. I would think that coaches look at it as a "calculated risk" in which they feel the probability is in their favor... But we all know that this is really a "chance" in which optimism clouds judgment....

^ Thanks for clearing that up. It must be a nice position to be able to compete and not be to concerned about the score now a days. It always seems that the scoreboard gets emphasized more than kids participation, team building and lessons learned...

Just to make it clear, we should all note that Trinity tried to lose this game. I find it hard to believe that the preceeding post are trying to pave a path the supports the above statement..... I don't buy it. Keep saving arms and you might have the entire pitching rotation real fresh to watch from the sidelines. It seems that the Seniors are now giving there playing time to managers...? Whats really going on here??? :sssh:

Who played third base for the Rocks? What was the fielding performance as well as the batting for whom ever played that position?

When the competition is 35 -2 in recent playoff action, the term "sandbagging" cannot be appropriately used to describe the wannbe's... :sleep::sleep::sleep:

35 - 2 :scared::scared::scared: Who has the team, talent, coaching to get a W over the Rocks in the playoffs? I just don't see anyone that can step up and get the job done. Tigers have tried but come up short... Maybe time for somebody else to knock on the door..... :mad:

If Trinity does not sustain any key injuries this season, they will be a couple notches above the field come November.

It would be a shame if the Rock supporters ran coach T away from the program. He is a very good coach and even better individual. Give him a chance, last time I checked the W-L record is very respectable. What are the expectations of the Trinity baseball program?
