First of all Raceland had better skill players than Ashland. Raceland kids were much smaller but executed. Those wide reciever screens and yards after the catch were just small examples of Raceland's skill level. Raceland was well coached .... It's a juggling act to keep fresh good players on the field at small schools. Second , Ashland continues to slide as a football program. Regular losses to 2A Russell , home loss to Raceland in which you were really dominated. Upcoming games worried about another 2A in Belfry and then comes the Devils. We all want the Tomcats to be successful , again good for the area. But as these posts have said get back to basics of conditoning , blocking , tackling and running to the football. I see lot's of talent and size within Ashland , just need to improve the basics and the scheme ... 25,42 impressed build around those kids Good luck the rest of the way ...

Can someone tell me how Kyle Carter did last night for LC ???

Kasey can play and Ivan takes every chance to use his abilities ... He's as good a all round player as anyone in state. Can impact a game in many ways and does. Kasey season and Mr Football chances will boil down to the playoffs where the Westerners have to take notice. I don't expect he will win it unless Russell wins it all again. Last year , coaches from the west decided Russell didn't have anyone good enough to lose in the KY-Tn allstar game ..

No one in our district won last night ... Fleming we are counting on you guys ... You folks have produced some good teams in recent years ... Good luck the rest of the way ...

Congrats to FC ... My favorite teams are anyone who beats PT ... We remember being shut out of KY/TN All Star game ...

I know Coach Tackett personally and I am happy for him... he is a good coach who obviosly could win anywhere

Great Job by Raceland again tonight I have many friends down in Raceland and I am overjoyed for them... The county of Greenup is shinging a little bit brighter tonight... good luck to Raceland in the rest of their season

Raceland certainly beat Ashland. Raceland had a better scheme and there kids wanted it more. Also clear Raceland outcoached Ashland from the gun. Ashland needs to consider a new direction or get use to under achieving. This isn't new , even Dickie was down. Fields played well , so did 42 ... Hope Bonner( good Holy Family Kid) isn't lost for the year. For Raceland great job , great memeory for the seniors .. congrats .. glad you aren't on the Devils schedule ...

I am taking the RED ARMY OF BELFRY in this one still like I said earlier... NCC better not take Belfry lightly or they will find themselves on the bad end of Belfrys BAD TO THE BONE WISHBONE attack like many good teams have said it once and ill say it again Belfry-35 NCC-14... Nobody goes into death valley and gets an easy win

Can't teach size .... Devils offense is the guards , blocking angles and execution,execution ,execution ... If this sizeble group can make all the blocks ( including the tackles pulling) we are in for a great year. Blocking tight end is also very important ... Former #66 and Jacob should have that covered ... Both lines are key for success into playoffs , we have all the skilled players two or three deep at each position .. Good luck guys ... fire out ,sustain and backs will find the holes ...

How did the Devils do ... Lines and passing the ball ?

I will have to take the "Red Army" of Belfry in this one... Belfry always has a hard nose team that will run you into the ground if cannot man up and hit them... NCC plays more of a finess style of game which I think will hurt them.... And remeber Belfry is one of the toughest place in the state to go into and win!!! Belfry-35 NCC-14

Ocath better have learned how to tackle or they will not beat anybody who has a good hardnose running game.....

Russell will manhandled Greenup... and win the backyard brawl for the 4rth straight year
