Very good game, Breathitt had a 4-0 lead early but the tigers fought back, Jackie Clemons from jackson pitched a great game, although he lacked his usual speed. Oscar Marshall from Breathitt also pitched a great game, in the end errors is what killed breathitt. Drew Davidson also had a great game in his first baseball game in 4 years. I have to give credit to the Jackson defense, they made the plays when it mattered most and thats what counts. GOOD GAME TO BOTH TEAMS

Actually Jackson beat Wolfe Co. in the finals of the district tournament. I'm still trying to figure out why his behavior was deemed "weird"??? I think it indicates that Mr. Gilbert is probably a pretty good guy to go out of his way to show support for our boys after a hard loss, especially considering that Wolfe lost to Jackson twice this year. If that is "weird" then we should all be striving to be the weirdest people around. I, personally, call it class and as a Tiger fan and parent, I appreciate it.

To our guys at Jackson City - the team, Coach Lively and Coach Turner: Thank You!!! This has been not only a wonderful basketball season and a great sports experience that won't be forgotten, but has also been just what this community has needed. Last night it didn't matter what school district you lived in, if you were from Breathitt Co. the chances were great that you were going to be rooting for the Tigers. The procession home and the welcome we received at the county line was a most amazing sight. Thanks so much to our police and fire departments for bringing our boys back in style. The lights and sirens and the line of cars that stretched as far as the eyes could see surely helped take a bit of the sting out of the loss. For anyone left at home or passing us on the road, if they didn't listen to the game, I'm sure they thought we had actually won! To our seniors: Kyle, Randy, Chase and this fan's personal favorite, Jordan, we will miss seeing you in our purple and gold next year. Thank you for 4 wonderful - and yes, sometimes not so wonderful - years. Never doubt that though you did not make it to Rupp, you are champs in our eyes.

Jackson gave it a good run, but in the end we just didn't have an answer for the Hicks kid. His shots fell, ours didn't.

I thought the guys from the 12th did a fine job. There were a few missed calls, but there always will be in any game. At no point during the 14th tournament was there that fishy smell in the air when you know somebody is getting it put to them. This tournament saw every game go down to the wire, and no outcome was affected by the officiating. The players decided who won.

if the tigers do make it to state (hopefully they do) then they will be playing the winner of the 11th region which will probably be Scott county.

Perfesser, We brought everybody except the ones that were in jail. Plus, we had a lot of help from the Breathitt fans. We all live in the same town afterall, and they support us, just like we support the Bobcats.

Hats off to the two Leslie fans that came down on the floor and congratulated the Jackson City fans and players. Those two gentlemen displayed a lot of class and it was sincerely appreciated.:thumb: Both teams were determined to win. Both sides of the gym were jumping for 36 minutes. That's what high school ball should be like!

I think this will be a hard fought game, if the Tigers want to win they are going to have to contain Morgan and Day down low. I think even with the lack of size the Tigers will win by 4.

I'm gonna have to pick hazard by 10+, i think they have more experience in big game situatuations, imo

I think Ryan Turner from Jackson City is a good coach

I think those two players not being there wil make a huge difference, with them i would say Lee would win, but without them i think Leslie will win by 4

C'mon guys, FrontRowGuy ought to be home in an hour or so...cut him some slack till he's here to defend himself.

My favorite one is probably Drew Davidson form Jackson City, he holds a state record in soccer, he runs track, and plays guard in basketball, hes just a sophmore too
