  1. Upset city! As long as Jones stays out of foul trouble, GRC will win this thing by 3 points. Preston Knowles is too quick for Proffitt or anyone else for South Laurel.
  2. Beating Blazer is a big accomplishment in this young season, just my opinion. Some coaches don't beat Ashland in a lifetime. Coach Simms is perfect against Ashland. As for my prediction, this game should be close. I think Dixie should be better than Conner who Pendleton beat by one point so I'm going to say Dixie in this one by five.
  3. I really don't care, I just want to say I'm glad Pendleton beat Ashland. Coach Biggs could have done big things in the tenth. Coach Simms has already accomplished enough for me to make him a legit tenth region coach.
  4. Just because you sit behind the bench on a laptop doesn't make you a basketball guy, you're only a parent. We appreciate your help but leave the coaching to your neighbor. He has the right guys playing, just some inexperience from some players and some overconfidence from others. Robin knows how to handle it and pressure from parents to play their kids because of some junior varsity numbers is horrendous. That should end when the kid hits ninth grade. And you made my point, averaging eleven against small schools like Deming, St. Francis and Calvary in junior varsity. They have kids playing just to field a team.
  5. I would like to go and see Miller dunk on that big kid from Bourbon but I will miss it...CRAP! Mason 82 Bourbon 67
  6. You should've put Hopson on there. Darius Miller has to be the best player in the state. I don't see Florida's assistant coach at anyone else's games in the state. Aren't they the defending national champion?
  7. Augusta will bounce back, they usually turn it on in January. I was wrong with my preseason prediction that this team wouldn't miss Gallagher but they do. Inconsistency from beyond the arc is a major liability for this team. It seems like if Groves is not hitting on kick-outs, this team suffers. Robin will make adjustments though and this team will bounce back but I can bet it won't be "lil Atown Pride" coming off the bench with his 11 ppg and 65% FG% in JV time (Are those supposed to be outstanding stats? It's JUNIOR VARSITY, dude.)
  8. I would think overconfidence had something to do with this...from what I could tell. This game was very ugly.
  9. No, I'm positive it was Sharp. He's the only player King guarded while in the game.
  10. Fifth Third but I know nothing about some of those Louisville teams in the King of the Bluegrass.
  11. Ryan Langhi? Any relation to Dan Langhi, Marshall legend and Vandy grad?
  12. The Indians on Friday! That's a huge game, could be a bracket buster, BABY!
  13. Congratulations to Coach Kelsch on his 100th victory! The accolades keep rolling in after a trip to the regional tournament.
  14. I attended this game and the game that Mason played against Saint Patrick. I don't have many complaints as a Royal supporter thus far. But something disturbs me and I can't find any explanation for it. Why isn't the King kid featured more? This is your bonified scoring threat. If they continue to waste this kid's time having him on the bench they might have their hands full on the road against a couple teams especially with their key bench player, Browning out with an ankle injury. Don't get me wrong, the team is strong as it is. But, it just seems to me that when the King kid is in the game it gives Mason more options in the half court and fast breaks and not to mention King might be their best on-the-ball defender besides the obvious, Miller. He quietly ripped a Sharp cross-over last night (finished it with a lay-up to end the first half) after I had been interested to see what Sharp was going to do this season, being very impressed with him last season. If someone can give me a legitimate reason why he hasn't got much playing time, I'll give them a cookie. From what I saw from him last year and more recently this summer, I would have thought he would be a key ingredient. I can't find much that this kid has done wrong when he has been in the game. Is he being punished? If you have watched both games, please chime in... Oh yeah, the officiating was very poor last night. If they are going to start cracking down on palming the ball, then they need to consistently do it.
  15. Silver Grove will win convincingly. Saint Patrick will have trouble winning games this year, especially on the road.
  16. You have got to be kidding me on this one. This thread is ridiculous. Have you seen Middleton's form. For starters, he's not half the shooter Lofton is and not nearly the all-around player Lofton was in high school. He's playing with one of the top players in the state on his team for the next two years, how is he going to score as much as Lofton did. Middleton is a quality player but he's not a legend.
  17. Good start for the Polar Bears! Jesse Hall is a warrior, broken ribs will not slow him down long. This is a good, convincing win to begin the season.
  18. Mason County is too much for the Saints. Jason Hinson can prepare all he wants. If he has an answer for Miller, I'm ready to hire him at Kentucky. MC-80 SP-42
  19. Troy Cooper is a bigger train than Silver Grove's. BB-70 SG-54
  20. Austin Hill will go nuts on an inexperienced Wildcat team and staff. Kane Belcher is not the best player on the floor...do some homework.
  21. Everyone knows Augusta and Deming games are always close. The team that usually out-rebounds and makes more stops wins this game. It should be a really interesting game to watch.
  22. Turn it on ESPN (The Worldwide Leader in Sports). I would venture to say that is a pretty reliable source.
  23. It doesn't matter, he's one and done. Good luck in the NBA "Juice"!
  24. Chris Lofton is #1. Draud puts on clinics at NKU basketball camps, Lofton put on a shooting clinic at the biggest scene in bluegrass high school basketball, the state championship in Rupp Arena. Draud doesn't have a ring. Lofton won a ring due to his silky smooth jumpshot. That's amazing! Not to mention, the best shot I have ever seen in a game (any game). His buzzer-beater to tie the game in the fourth quarter against the number one ranked team in the state on their home court, in their own tournament, in front of Tubby Smith (who said "no") and many UK players. Oh yeah, it was a fade-away with a kid in his grill from near half court.
