Augusta 73 Fleming 71 2OT

Recommended Posts

What a game. It was back in forth the whole way. The largest lead was 5 points by Fleming early on. Both teams missed alot of easy baskets throughout the game.

Augusta had four Players in double figures led by Matt Groves with 18 Dustin Staggs added 15, Jeremy Hardymon 14 (plus 12 Rbs), Josh White 11

Chris Mofford chiped in 6, Dereck Fryman 5, And Bradye Hamilton 4

They shared the ball well and played as a Team as allways. Get some rest boys we play again tomorrow.

JV game was also won by Augusta 48-37

Ty Krebs led Augusta with 13, followed by Ryan Kelsh, Chris Mofford, and Shawn White with 9 each. JoJo Gray added 6 (11 Rbs)and Joey Crouch 2

This was played at the Panther's Den in Augusta!

Ahhh the mystique of that gym. I played there a couple times in high school... bats were flying around....I almost went flying out the door and down the steps on a bust out layup where I got fouled.....has it changed much?

who is their coach? Kelsch?

Congrats to Augusta on a hard fought victory. Also congratulations go out to head coach Robin Kelsch who notched his 100th career victory tonight. Wins aren't always easy to come by at Augusta. That's quite an accomplishment for a man that eats, drinks, sleeps, eats some more, everything and anything Augusta Independent Schools. He's one to give the kids the credit but we all know it wouldn't be possible without him.

Thanks Robin!!!

Couldnt go wrong there. So hows the new coach coming along in the Burg.I know the talent level right know is low but hows the overall picture coming.

He seemed to have his boys ready to play. He would'nt stop his boys from coming at us. As far as Talent goes not sure on their stats but they do have some that can drive in lane. They also started an eighth grader who will be someone to watch, has good size and can move. I know when our 8th graders played him he made his presence known.

Is there not enough kids in high school at Fleming that they have to start an 8th grader. I bet that makes the frosh, sophs and juniors feel good

Not sure, but for some reason he did not even play in the JV game. Would think the more playing time the better.
