The 2nd sloppy game of the night at Ryle on Tuesday. In the first quarter, it seemed as if though Ludlow's game plan was working as the game was very close(Ludlow was actually leading for most of the quarter). They played a packed-in 1-3-1 halfcourt zone to make Highlands beat them from the outside. And when the Bluebirds did drive it in the middle, 6'9'' Dan Penick was there to alter shots. It was a great game until Ludlow starting getting greedy and gave up some unforced turnovers. Then it wasn't much of a game after that. Jeff Vories led Highlands with 17 points and Chase King(who I was impressed with) had 24 points as he hit 4-5 three pointers. Dan Penick ended his career with 11 points, over 10 rebounds and a bunch of blocked shots. Congrats to Ludlow for a solid season and best of luck seniors. Also good luck Highlands against Cov Cath.

IMO Clark County will have to bring their "A" game on Firday to win. What I'm trying to say is that Pendleton County has too many weapons for GRC to travel down to Maysville and beat them them with an average game. To beat Pendleton County you have to bring a little more to the table on that specific day. Somebody besides Knowles and Jones must have a big game for GRC on Friday or it will be a long ride back to Winchester.

Kind of a boring game. The most exciting parts were Cov Cath's student section and the player from Ryle hitting a half court shot just before the half. Cov Cath played solid enough to win by double digits, but Ryle really didn't shoot that well. I'm sorry to see Ryle Senior Robbie Lykes end his career. I'm sure that it was better to end it in the Regional Tournament on his home floor. I got to know Robbie through AAU. Him and his dad are great people. Good luck to him and the rest of the Ryle seniors in the future. Good luck to Cov Cath against Highlands on Friday. We will find out who the better team really is.

I forgot to mention how impressed I was with Augusta's PG Josh White. I know he did not have his best game on Monday, but I saw some things that you can build a solid team around from him. He knows his role, to get his teammates good shots, to drive to the basket and make good plays. He is their floor general and without him the Panthers will struggle even more. Good luck next year. Also, before the game I was anxious to see how many total points Augusta would put on the board. I seriously was guessing around 36-40. They ended up putting 55 on PC which isn't bad considering last year they only scored 18. 55 isn't a bad scoring night against the Cats. It's actually pretty good. Of the 31 Pendleton County opponents this season, only 11 of them have scored more than 55 points. Not to mention Holmes, Highlands, GRC, Dunbar, Harrison, Montgomery and Scott were one some of the teams that scored less than 55. Augusta has nothing to be ashamed of by last night's result. I think Weddle and Hay said that Jones had a double-double by halftime. That's impressive. McCord played good for Cov. Scott. Scott's Kyle Howard had a chance to put the Eagles up one with 10 seconds left but missed a free throw. Congrats to Scott for a solid ignition season and congrats to GRC for pulling out the first game. I think that Knowles will play a lot better on Friday. If he doesn't then GRC will not have much of a chance. Shold be a good game.

Like U Reach I Teach said Augusta made a very promising show Monday night. They played hard, shot well and made some plays that impressed me. Augusta making it to the Regional Tournament is like other teams making it to the State Tournament. My hats off to them and the very excited fans who made their trip worth while. They were led by two players with 12 points a piece(I think it was Hardymon and Gallagher but I could be wrong). Pendleton County continues its dominance in the 10th Region. They played okay on Monday and was a little overwhelmed by the intriging play of the Panthers. Should be a dandy on Friday night with their third matchup of the season against Humphrey's Cards. PC was led by a shooting exhibition by Terry Davis with a career high 29 points. Elliott had 20 and HurriKane had 11. Also another good shout out to Phillip Hay and Danny Weddle for keeping my friends and I informed about the Clark/Scott game.

I know it has been a while, but when is the last time that Augusta and Deming both made the 10th region tournament(except 2006)?

IMO Tyler Mains should be on the list. He is now a four year starter at Pendleton County and has compiled a 74-19 record over the past three years. Not to mention he has won two 38th district titles and one 10th region title.

Tyler Mains has just recently been offered a full scholarship to North Greenville University in Greenville, South Carolina. He commited to go there last week. The Crusaders compete on the Division II level and play a few Division I schools as well. They just finished their season at 13-19. Congratulations Tyler and all you have accomplished!

Pendleton County is 25-2. That is amazing!

I used to watch reruns of the "White Shadow" on ESPN Classic a couple of years ago. I really like liked. I wish they still kept it on there.

Pendleton County goes back to back seasons without losing a game at home. Last home loss was December 2003 to Campbell County.

He has always been very underrated and I think he still might be a little underrated to some people. A true point guard who can play with the best of them! Great career Tyler!
