GRC is playin good

Preston knowles scores his only second half basket with 1.8 to go to win the game.

Was not able to make it to the game, it looks like it was a dandy. Someone told me that GRC was up 12 with about 5:30 to go and Scott really comeback. Scott evidently had their chances, but they had problems from the charity stripe. My source said that Scott really blew their chance to win it in the closing seconds. I predicted a good game with the score going either way by no more than 6. Did not miss it by far. Things are shaping up for some Friday night showdowns.

Wow, Scott must have played well...Congrats to the Eagles on making it to the Fieldhouse in their first year in the 10th region. Congrats to the Cardinals on the win as well!

Tristan Jones was a force inside, 25 points and 14 rebounds. Knowles made up for throwing the ball away late in the game by making the game-winning shot as time expired.

 

Congrats to the Cards, and also to Scott for giving Clark County all they could handle.

If you were at the game and know that GRC should have won by more then why don't you give us a breakdown.

People just did not give Scott the credit they were due for being able to play with GRC. I think the bigger point spread predictions were from people not familiar with Scott or the type of ball that Scott played.

wow...sounds like a thriller. Survive and advance is the name of the game at this point. Clark Co. survives this one and i look forward to the showdown between them and Pendleton Friday night!

I was not at the game, but I am very familiar with Scott being that I actually live in Scott's district, and I have seen GRC play. Judging from that, I assumed that GRC would win by more, and Knowles would play well. Who guarded him and did Scott use any zone?

Sounds like a great game and the 10th regional tournament is off to a great start.

Just got in from the game. My hat is off to Scotts players and their coach. They never gave up and played with so much heart....you could tell they really wanted this game. What did save Scott was their foul shooting...didn't miss many. and went alot. Jones fouled out with 2:26 to go hurt the cards..he was a force inside. Knowles did not have his usual game, didn't even try to shoot. I don't think he even tried a shoot first quarter. Our game plan was to go inside. The Cards did not play well tonight and were lucky to come out with a win. They better come with their A-game on Friday or it will be a long bus ride back to Clark Co.

 

Really liked the hustle of #22 for Scott..his fouling out at the very end of the game hurt Scott.

 

Do I think that the defence held Knowles tonight...no..Preston is the type of player that if he scores OK if the plan is to go inside, then that is what he will do...main thing is to win the game....Knowles did shoot the winning basket.

Congrats Cards...need to step it up a notch ot two for a win on Friday.

Howard was #13 What # were the other seniors? You all have a great coach...very classy act.:thumb: I relly liked this Scott team, hustled, and never gave up...look forward to watching you all play next year.
