From what I witnessed at the game mentioned in the article - it is probably for the best. I think his actions bled over to his fans sitting behind the bench and they got totally out of hand. The more rowdy he got, the more he fueled them. I was embarrassed for the school.

There is a lot more to it than what you mentioned. And I will leave it at that.

Coaches do many things on the side line to increase their teams intensity. Pitino, Coach K, and Bobby Knight have all been known to get a quick T-foul on the side line to swing the momentum back their way. It works it's called a desire to win.

I agree completely... sure will miss his energy. I wish him the best in all of his future endeavors.

Maybe the transfers will come back to fleming county and then Lake Kelly and his old staff can lead the panthers to the Promise Land!

maybe he will decide to come back to Clay Co...

I hope so. He really knows his basketball, and he is a good person too. I'd love to see him and his dad on the bench for the Tigers next year. I think that would be a really good staff. I watched him play 2 games last year at the CFIT, and he did a really good job coaching. He almost beat Corbin at Corbinm who then went on and won the 13th and made it to the quarterfinals of the Sweet 16. He didn't even have that much talent outside of Marshall. If he doesn't end up at Clay County I wish him the best of luck at whatever he does.

Forced resignation seems a little harsh for what happened last week, though.

Sure hope that doesnt happen. I dont see how all the folks in Fleming Co. could stand that bunch again. I respect Lake Kelly but I believe he may be a little too old to rebuild a program.

My thoughts exactly

Alright I'm going to ask you guys a question. Did the people in Fleming County like Coach Messer?? It seemed when I watched them play they all loved him. I don't understand it.

I dont think anyone understands it. Most people I know like him

Thanks for answering my question. Good luck on finding a new coach. I hope you all build a good program, and are able to compete in the 16th region for a long time.
