Biggest problem bringing a big name coach is the well is very dry in the basketball program coming up.

Coaches make believers. A talented team without a good coach will not get very far. A good coach can take a less than average team, turn them into believers, give them a 100% work ethic, and compete with anyone using pure determination.

Im gonna take a wild stab at this and say Troy Lee Thomas would probably apply. He is close with ex Panther head man Lake Kelly having coached under him as well as being tight with other coaches in the Fleming system

Coach Messer is a great, lively, young coach. I think that he will have no problem finding a nother coaching job(if that's what he wants to do). Good luck to Todd in the future!

I don't know if I missed this or not, but will someone please explain what happened that led to all of this. I keep hearing "altercation" or "unfortunate incident" but noone has actually said what happened. I'd just like to hear the story.

I'm off the subject here but I was at an AAU tourny at NKU over the weekend.The Fleming Co. 4th and 5th grade teams were fantastic with super talent. I don't know above that but these kids could really play and should be a major factor when they get to high school.

Sure hope that doesnt happen. I dont see how all the folks in Fleming Co. could stand that bunch again. I respect Lake Kelly but I believe he may be a little too old to rebuild a program.

 

From your statement I am assuming that you did not like the back to back 10th region titles and a Saturday morning game in Rupp?
