I may be a bit of a homer, but you have to go back a long ways to find a team that did what they did. Every team, no matter the level of play, has to have a few bounces to go their way to win a championship. But to say they lucked out against a team they beat by 20 early in the season is crazy. Its debatable if they are the greatest of all time , I do think not many would argue with top five all time. Still not bad.

Wow that is a bold statement. It will be awful tough to go undefeated with their schedule. Im a little bias but Scott County will be awful tough to beat as well as Lex. Cath. Billy Hicks has never been beat by a Mason county team that was not led by Chris Lofton. I dont think that streak will be broken. But I know it will be a heck of a game.

I think Scott County has a little tougher schedule. Considering all the out of state games as well as being in the always tough 11th region. Mason's looks tough also though.

I didnt see it coming. He has done great things at Station. It will be interesting to see who ends up there, they have big shoe to fill.

How is Billy Hicks not coach of the year? He should be the run away winner.

everybody is saying Station but dont they lose Jaron Jones and Stephon Lewis . I think tose are 2 big shoes to fill. I think they will be good but not as good as this year.

It will be interesting to see if the new coach goes after any of our in state talent that Tubby didnt really want such as Pettigrew, Walls, or Knowles. Or if it will get us back in the fold with Mackey or Hopson.

I think that when Scott was in the 8th they were the team that all other 8th region teams marked on their schedule. I think that views around the state of the 8th would seem to think that the region was weakened but to say they have nothing is not a true statement. I think Scott should win big, but I have thought that before against Oldham and went home early from Henry Co.

Please do. I thought the game was called very fair. In fact more fouls were called on Scott, it wasnt until the end when TC had to foul that they evened out.

Well Scott has beat three of those teams that you were impressed with. I have a hard time understanding you logic that Scott isnt that good because Catholic isnt as impressive as it once was.

Some people say great players make the others around them better. All I have heard all year is how bad Pettigrew's teamates are. Scott County is run through Walls, he is the leader on the team.

I think if Scott Co. goes deep in post season Walls should be Mr. Basketball. Something has to be said about Scott co. schedule. The numbers Walls has put up against that competition should be what wins it for him. Etown has not played that tough a schedule, and their record is still 17-11. I still think it will be hard for him to beat Pettigrew, but this award should go to Walls.

I never understand the anger against Scott County. Everyone understands that with two high schools our chance are diminished. As fans we are just trying to enjoy the team we have now instead of the one we will have 10 years from now. What do you have against Scott Co.?

Your right, Scott did not go to the basket enough to get any fouls called. They were really scared to go in on Patterson. However refs never call an intentional foul at the end of a game weather it be pro, college, or high school, and I dont think they should. Let the players decide who wins the ballgame. Scott took some bad shots in the end I dont think Hicks had anything to do with it. I think the game was more important to Huntington than to Scott County, and it showed in the way the played defense on Mackey and Walls.

Played tough. Just came up a bit short. Bud & Matt had a tough night, not alot of romm to get off any shots. Good D by Huntington.

Most people including myself think Pettigrew has Mr. Basketball wrapped up. However what would Walls have to do to make it a close vote. If (and this is a big if) Scott went undefeated and won the State Championship I think I would be hard to vote against Walls.
