I have seen in other posts your displeasure in Scott County getting transfers. I just want to know if you would have made this big a fuss if Euton and Jackson had transfered to Lexington Christian or Catholic. Scott County has gotten several transfers in the last two years, however before that the last one to my best memory was Scott Hundley. Schools get transfers every year, why are you so mad at Scott Co.

Scott Co. website lists him as that on their roster. I thought he was bigger than that.

Chad Jackson 6'4 -PG Junior Gelawn Guyn 6'2- SG Junior Tamron Manning 6'1 - SF Freshman Dakota Euton 6'7 - PF Junior Richie Phares 6'7- C Senior I believe this could be the best starting five that Scott County has ever had, including the state championship teams. All five of these kids have a chance to play division 1 basketball .

It is being reported on Kentucky Ink that Chad Jackson started classes at Scott County on Monday. If true, Scott County is going to be so tough next year.

Actually I believe that Scott County has a senior that will be one of the favorites for Mr. Basketball. And a junior that averaged about 14 points a game. They also have a freshman that is considered one of the best in the state, he was offered a chance to play at Oak Hill last year. The talent level was far from from low. Scott County is a program that kids want to play for, and Billy Hicks is a coach they want to play for.

They may not go 10-11 deep. However their starting five should be by far the best in the state.They have possibly five players, if Chad Jackson comes, that could play division 1 basketball. Scott Co. will be the Preseason favorite to win state.

Scott County PG- Chad Jackson (if he comes) or Ford SG- Ge-lawn Guyn SF- Tamron Manning PF- Dakota Euton C- Richie Phares This could be one of Scott Co. better lineups. Alot hinges on Chad Jackson, they need some one to handle the ball. If he comes then I believe this will be a team that can be a heavy favorite to win the state championship. I think all five of those players could play division 1 somewhere. If Jackson doesnt come you could possibly have Matt Walls little brother seeing some playing time at the point.

Right now they are still the champs. :thumb: Nobody has been more dominant than Scott Co. in the last 10 years. The numbers dont lie. No team is going to win it every year.

If Matt Walls didnt win Mr. Basketball and he was on the state champions, no way Mack wins it now. It has been Millers award since early in the season. I didnt know Kentucky made the final four in 92. You mean Laettner missed the shot? All these years I was wrong.:confused:

I believe it will come down to Hood and Phares. Hood will be recruited by more big name schools. However he lives in part of the state where he will not get as much as exposure. Phares will be on one of the top teams in the state in the toughest region in the state. Living in the Lexington area Phares will get alot more exposure. As well as playing for the premier program in the state. If Hood commits to UK it will be very hard for Phares to win it. It will be very intesting to see it pan out.

The State Champs play their best game of the year. Richie Phares scored 27 points for Scott.

Scott County should be higher. Max Preps has a few games on Scott Co. schedule as losses, that they never even played. I think they should be 4th.

Richie Phares is Scotts best player he has to go on the list.

Dont make traveling an excuse because Scott County played in Florida and South Carolina over the holidays. Both teams have traveled, Scott County only has 8 home games not counting the Toyota classic.

Scott County has won 9 of the last twelve.

Scott County has lost a lot of from last year. However they still have got Richie Phares ( Will be on of the three favorites to win MR. Basketball next year) and Tyler Portwood (Probably one of the best shooters in the state).They also have the winningest active coach of all time. Scott County will give Mason county a hard time inside. Scott County is good defensive team, that can cause alot of turnovers. However their weakness is they are not that safe with ball, turning it over alot themselves.

I agree. They are no doubt the favorite. But have not been dominate enough to say they are a runaway favorite.
