  1. Haven't seen 'em, but pulling for the Colts for my South Side buddies.
  2. Pulling for the Purples, but much more worried about this one than I would like to be.
  3. There is parking on the street all over the place. I think you don't have to pay the meters after 6:00pm (or maybe it's 7:00pm?)... there is also an elementary school across the street with a parking lot (diagonally across the street from Central). Not the greatest part of town, but you should be fine during the game.
  4. And to expand on post #6, I think Eastern has the athletes and has played tougher opponents. I realize it's tough to argue with an undefeated team, but I just think Eastern gets it done on Friday. I hope the crowd is big for both schools.
  5. Also not meant to be contrary, but as a T fan I don't really ever think in terms of "payback". That implies that the opponent has some sort of hold on you. Just take care of business. Whether it's a tip of the cap, or a refusal to schedule, it the long run it doesn't matter. Just take care of business.
  6. I predict that this time next week everyone will agree that X is the #2 team in 6A, and then another week after that everyone will agree that SC is the #3 team in 6A.
  7. I enjoy foosball as much as the next guy - used to play a lot in college - but I think I will just go to the football game tonight.
  8. Long drives for touchdowns will keep any team in a game.
  9. Don't know about "Great Eight"... a few of them only seem "good" to me.
  10. T has outscored X 210-60 with Quick on the field, and they are 5-1 in those games. The "X guy" on the radio is pretty far off. Just an FYI.
  11. I think T will fall behind in the first qtr., then go on to win 35-17.
  12. Wow it sees like folks are a little more touchy than when these teams played earlier in the year! You can pull for one school without hating the other. To answer Avid's query, Wright was 22 of 29 (to 7 different receivers) with 2 TDs and 2 interceptions. Gahafer was 9 of 18 (to 5 different receivers) with 0 TDs and 2 interceptions. Looking at the stat sheet the game may have been a little closer than the final score. That being said, I don't think T played well in the first matchup. Personally I thought T looked really good last Friday, showing and executing some things offensively that they have not shown all year (if ever?). May the better team win.
  13. X can win, but only if they play great football AND T plays poorly. IMO if T executes, they win. And though this will offend folks I am going to point out the elephant in the room: Winner of this game is the state champion.
  14. Tedious thread.
  15. I think they were a #2... they were not in T's district obviously.
  16. With all due respect there were a dozen teams better than SK on the other side of the bracket. It was the easiest game T had in the playoffs, so this example isn't that great - that is to say they had no real chance of winning the title, even if T had been upset in an earlier round.
  17. Has a #3 or a #4 ever won the state title since going to six classes? What about when there were 4 classes? I would be VERY surprised if a 4 has ever won, and I have my doubts about a 3 ever winning. Even the "Super District" will probably never have the #4 strong enough to beat the #2 & the #1 from their own district on back-to-back weekends. I have roots to Male and would hate to have seen them have not had their shot this year, but if you don't fare better in the district, then have a seat. First round is a joke.
  18. BG 35-14. Christian Co. is blue and red, and the last time I checked those 2 colors make PURPLE!
  19. No offense JDad, but I don't really want to have to say "I'm a Kentuckian, I'm proud of it, and yes my 0-10 team made the playoffs!" It does make our state look stupid.
  20. 42-7 X rolls. Who would they play in the third round?
  21. ^^^ And Bowling Green.
  22. "I swear that catfish I noodled was THIS BIG."
  23. I am confident the Tigers will have the football for over 30 minutes. 300 yards on the ground equals a 49-6 victory. And they will be able to play old school football and not show anything for that 3rd round game.
