  1. Most likely will be Tony Arthur and Alex Malloy two of the quickest players on the team. Of course if you want to go bigger there is Quackenbush or maybe even Chase Jackson (6'10") if he is cleared to play. Then there is Johnny Bush who runs like the Energizer bunny. Also Mike Davis, Scott Gambill, Mike Terry, and probably three or four others who will see a lot of time.
  2. Now Rose Hill will have to have Chad Jackson playing point. I think they will be OK.
  3. Thank you. I wish Ashland luck in the future.
  4. Ok fair enough. I shouldn't have mentioned the losses to RH. But what I am trying to figure out is if Ashland has a lot of talent coming up or not. It is a fair question. You admit BC has little talent coming up, and I have been told by a Raceland parent they have some lean years ahead of them. These are the two teams Ashland JV has beaten. So what is the future going to be like for Ashland? I really mean no disrespect.
  5. It is my understanding that Raceland does not have a strong JV or middle school team. Can someone advise?
  6. You sort of opened the door to the mention of other teams. Ashland's middle school has been dominated by RH for two years in a row. How many other games has Ashland's JV won and who have they beat?
  7. Who's going to shut down both Euton and Jackson. Fuller, Malloy, and Arthur and probably a couple of others could play on any other team in this region. They are more than just a two man team. I heard Quackenbush (sp.?) has turned into a monster this year. And why is a Christian school the "dark side"?
  8. Interesting to see some very small schools in there with the big boys.
  9. Wasn't Mayo selected all-state as an 8th grader?
  10. What happened to last years head coach?
  11. Congratulations to Dakota, Clay, and Pam. He is a great player and they are a wonderful family. Couldn't happen to a better group of people.
  12. Congratulations to Britt. I have enjoyed getting to know her and her family. Their contributions to Rose Hill is appreciated. Good luck at Louisville.
  13. Just to be accurate, the Royals pitched a freshman and an 8th grader.
  14. Better than that, let's just not hold personal grudges against anyone.
  15. Based on the criteria for voting, Kidwell deserved this award.
  16. Marooncat, I have to question what game you went to and saw a packed house on the Rose Hill side. The folks I saw at the games, and I don't miss many were fans that have supported the teams for years, including myself. I am sure the fan support will be about the same. The only possible difference is the absence of other area coaches.
  17. I am not sure that off the court attitude has anything to do with getting on the team or not. If your saying she is not a good enough player that is an opinion and it is the opinion of some that matters. Obviously those who vote did not think she was a top player. As for Austydak's mother's opinion. I'm interested in knowing if she makes it a common practice expressing her opinion of a 14 year old child's attitude with others. If so it's not very professional. And it has no place in this or any thread.
  18. Scooter, In your puzzle, did the two teams meet head to head. If so who won. Who won the year before in the head to head meeting. Who lost due to a coaching error. It sounds to me like coach A needs an award, it is the only thing he can win.
  19. Maybe he will think twice about mouthing off to an ump. No place for that. If the ump was out of place, the coach should deal with it. The player was wrong.
  20. I'm sorry if you get the feeling I'm am hinting at conspiracy. My intent is to state very clearly there is a conspiracy. It may not be a conspiracy to keep Rose Hill out, but some area programs who have so many votes are conspiering to promote their players and program. It would be easier to swallow if each school had the same amount of votes, it would also be fair.
  21. And even fewer high school students can say they were Miss Basketball. I myself don't know exactly why Queen was slighted or why Kala Faulkner was slighted the year before and why Pam was also slighted both years. But the evidence is in front of you.
  22. All I hear is how we in, the 16thn region, should support whoever is picked or wins a game, but where was the support from the area coaches during this vote. I have never claimed to be real bright, but I know this could have an effect. I'm sure they did too.
  23. I'm constantly having people second guessing me in my job. I know a lot of other people who are. I would even say you have received criticism in your job GoRadio. Why should ref's be untouchable.
  24. Queen is a lagitimate canidate for Miss Basketball. I'm sure not making this team doesn't help her cause.
