  1. Congratulations to Elliott. They are very strong. I don't have any problem with one team beating another by whatever margin. I do think conventional wisdom would have a coach resting his players for a big tournament game the following night, but Mayes is not conventional. He knows his players better than anybody. Good luck against Raceland.
  2. RickyP you must be speaking in some kind of code that only Booger understands. I didn't see any of this in your post.
  3. I've got no stats, but we have heard how Rose Hill is a two man team for months. Tonight they proved they had some other kids who could really play. Mike Davis was the MVP of this one. Alex Malloy and Robbie Barber also played very well on both sides of the floor. Tony Arthur and Johnny Bush hounded Ashland on defense all night. And Euton and Jackson probably had a double double each. Good win. The cheers were kids being kids.
  4. This is the trouble too many people trying to understand each side of the story. Quitting should not be justified by anybody. I don't know the reason, don't care. I just know the result is wrong.
  5. Be careful, remember what happened the last time you said an official was good?
  6. When I was growing up, a long time ago, quitting anything was not an option. Times have changed, for the worse.
  7. Here are the stats for Rose Hill: Euton 20 pts / 7 reb / 2 asst Jackson 10 pts / 7 reb / 7 asst Barber 14 pts / 2 reb / 1 asst Davis 8 pts / 4 reb Arthur 2 reb / 1 asst Quackenbush 2 pts / 4 reb / 1 asst J. Bush 2 reb / 1 asst Robbie Barber was 7 of 11 for 64% from three-point range in two games. I'm looking foreward in seeing some local games.
  8. Another tough game against quality team. Rose Hill played hard, but just couldn't get over the hump. Another big night for Robbie Barbour. Mike Davis also had a good night. Everybody said RH has to find some help for Euton and Jackson, maybe they are finding it.
  9. This was a tough loss for the Hill. Centennial looked like a good team. They had a big time player, Brown. Also they were the GA state runner up last season, according to the guys on wazoo. Rose Hill should have won this game, but made a few costley mistakes down the stretch. Euton and Jackson again had good nights. I don't have stats, but Robbie Barbour had a very good game.
  10. First I'll say Elliott Co. is a great team and will do well in the All A, but this year they have been given a pass on their weak schedule. Except for teams out of the state that I don't know anything about, both JBS and Paintsville's losses have been to tough teams. That being said, if my team doesn't beat Elliott in the regional all A, I will be rooting for them. I think they can win it all.
  11. I think this was the final score. Greenup was ten points ahead with two minutes left in the third. Rose Hill turned up the preasure and started hitting some threes. Good win for the Lady Royals.
  12. The answer is yes. He has proven himself to a lot of people who know what they are talking about. I do agree that Hamilton Kid, I think that is his name, was tough.
  13. I read where Logan Watts came in an played big. Congratulations to the Rams and to Logan, who is a great kid.
  14. I am not trying to take anything away from LCA. They deserved to win. I'll defer to you on the walk. You were 20 ft. away watching it live, I was 120miles away watching it on the net. It is a tough loss for the Hill. This schedule would have been brutal for anyone in the region.
  15. I'll take your bait Happy Dad. I didn't go to the game, but I did watch it on the net. RH played from behind the whole game. They just couldn't get over the top. Euton did have a shot to tie, that he hit. A walk was called on him. El Gato said it was a walk, I think it was a foul. Good showing by the Royals. I can't wait until they get back in the region.
  16. Just for the sake of fairness, RH has beaten Morgan Co., the team ranked in front of them, and they have two other wins in the David Garnes tournament which would make their record 6-5.
  17. Yes Corey is at Rose Hill and we are happy to have him. He is a good kid. As for Springsteen, Did you talk to Michael and if you did, did he tell you this is the reason for him not being on the team?
  18. TFRF, if your looking to the world for the truth then I will just tell you what my Grandpa used to tell me, "There aint no tatters where your digging." Take your questions and concerns to the only real truth.
  19. TFRF, you have made a lot of decisions with your spiritual life based on the sufferings of other people, but from what I have read you have never personally suffered. I would just say to you that I have personally suffered in ways you can only hope to avoid. It is only through the grace of God, that I am able to function daily. I thank God each day for his presence in my life and for the many Christians who support me. I have expressed my support and Christian love for you. But I am genuinely concerned for your soul, and yes you have one. You have said you do not discount the existence of God. I would tell you to take these concerns to him. The Christians you are around can help you, and if they can’t you need to find some with more faith. I'm still praying for you.
  20. If you are a Christian, then you must believe that works without faith are nothing more than filthy rags in the eyes of God. That is the best we can accomplish on our own. The world may see the works of a non-believer being good or even great, but they have no bearing on their eternal judgment. Works with faith will be rewarded.
  21. They are a senior dominated team and very athletic. They have one of the best big men in the region, and very good guard play. I think if Elliott overlooks them they may be beat. I also think Mayes is smart enough not to overlook them.
