I am really biased, but my vote goes to Maggie McMahon. A hard worker, tough, quick, stong defender, and a team player. Great kid on top of it all.

True. Although this year's hammerings had quite a bit to do with the lack of talent on the team. That has already been debated plenty on here. However, I was a bit surprised at CCH only being 7 games above .500 during the last 11 years. I would think that number should be unacceptable to a fan. I think if that were the case in Fort Thomas, there would be a meltdown. I think a 4 TD margin is a pretty good butt whipping. I guess a hammering would be 4+ TD's. I would like to see you all get a quality coach, because in all honesty I think some of the luster has been lost from the rivalry.

Agreed the schedule was killer and it should be. However there have been quite a few hammerings in the 98 through 01 stretch. 70-26, 45-7, 35-10, 49-27, 52-22. I would be surprised if Siple does leave an Ohio teaching job, although as guru said, it seems strange that he would be sending mixed messages to several people.

Success as in winning more than you lose (being above .500)? If so, I would agree that you probably are in the minority of CCH fans... Not that there is anything wrong with that...

I agree, though I think any coach that is brought in would be greatly exceeding expectations to have a .500 win percentage against HHS... In the last 11 seasons CCH is 72-65 a .525 win percentage overall. Especially considering the last 22 matchups are 18-4 HHS. The average margin of victory for the HHS wins is 37.2 to 11.6. The average margin of victory in the 4 CCH wins is 28.3 to 23. I think most of the CCH supporters are focused on getting the team back to being competitive overall. I would think they have higher expectations than just winning 52.5% of the time and they deserve a coach that can deliver on those expectations. I hope they find someone soon, because spring is right around the corner and champions are made in the offseason!

I also do not want to see the cannon go away and I am sure all the risks will be weighed and a decision will be made. I know the cannon crew does an outstanding job and are extremely careful in how they operate! Accidents can and will happen no matter how careful anyone is. Anytime you are dealing with explosives, there is risk involved. There is risk involved at schools that fire off Class B (1.3G) or Class A (1.2G or 1.1G)fireworks during football games. I guess when one of these blows up on the ground or near spectators, as they inevitably will at some point, those schools will also have to evaluate the acceptable risk. When you strap on a helmet and play football there is risk involved. I am not saying that those risks are the same (although you could argue that football is much more dangerous by examining the number of fatalities that occur). My point is we all make decisions everyday that deal with how much risk is acceptable risk.
