I think it was a Larry Vaught article that talked about the possibility of going a prep school route the next 2 years. It sounded like from the article that he was exploring those options.

In an interview I saw yesterday, it sounds like he may be looking at the prep school route as well. I can't blame him if he chooses this route, but I would hate it for KY HS Basketball.

Given the fact that Grandpa said Arch wouldn't be taking NIL money until he earned the starting position, this is opposite of how the Manning's do business. Plus with QB's getting hurt, and the fact players can now play in a few games and still be redshirted, none of this story makes since!

For Cal to offer an in-state sophomore is pretty strong IMO.

In this tournament, it means they won't ?. What a wild and wacky tournament so far. I think it's a breath of fresh air seeing new teams and coaches in the final 4.

It sounded from the article like the coach and staff did about everything they could do to keep it from happening. I am sure the players were seniors who just won their last football game of their career. Plus, if like most HS venues I have been, the no tobacco on school grounds policy gets broken multiple times daily. To me it's just the NCAA flexing their muscles in places they don't need to. If Alabama men's basketball didn't have multiple players involved in a murder investigation, the penalty for this Coach probably wouldn't have been as harsh!?

And if one of those veteran shooters hits a couple of 3's we are debating the MSU vs UK outcome now! Collins is the athletic rim protector...unfortunate circumstances hurt his year. I am not sure what happened with Wheeler (speculation is pressure and fans got to him and he basically quit), but he may have been what helped the most defensively against K State.

If Cal had left UK after 8 years for another job...UK fans would view Cal as the apple of their eyes. Pitino left when he was hot...the only Coach in UK history to do so, therefore he is "the one who got away". Look at the mess Pitino left at U of L and be thankful that Cal, despite his critics, has ran a first class program with very little off the court issues. He and Ellen have also been pillars of the community, unlike Pitino and his cheerleader/restaurant escapades.

At one point I thought there was a collective with UK players, where they all got a percentage of money coming in (walk-ons included). I heard this in 2021-2022, and the players received 6 figures that year.

Who have they turned on? IMO they apply pressure to play the homegrown kids...I don't feel like they turned on Dontaie Allen.

I agree to a point. You can't continually screw over HS kids 25 minutes from your campus either. If UK offered and pressured because Wisconsin came to their door steps...then they (UK) maybe should have lived with their decision. At least for a year.

Frederick is probably making 6 figures in NIL money. He would be silly not to come back IMO. It might also spring board him into a future coaching role if that is something that interests him. I also think Oscar's best earning potential is at UK next year. But I am not sure where he and Cal's relationship is at this point.

What do you think Livingston does? I don't see him being a 1st round NBA pick (2nd round for that matter). Does he transfer? It will be interesting to see how this unfolds.

Was this a move so Frankfort can hire Coach Foley back? I know that situation wasn't handled properly by former admin when he was let go the way he was. I hate this for Coach Atchley. He has done a good job coaching football everywhere he has been.

I agree with this as well. College recruiting is tough to get right for both colleges and families. There are a lot of folks who miss the boat on this.
