Final a heck of a game. Nowell had another big game today even on a sprained ankel with 20 points and 19 assists.

Nowell sets the all time record with 19 assists in a tournament game, and gets a steal to end the game. 

Really fun one to watch.  Perimeter defense was atrocious, but still really fun to watch.

He gets after it, for sure.  Almost impossible to guard on those screens. 

Norwell is a beast! Very well may be the best player in all of the NCAA.

I’m trying to figure out how a great coach like Tom Izzo, who is known for being a great X and O coach. Could allow a player from the other team to control the game like that. To allow a player to have 20 points and 19 assists is just bad coaching when it should have been common sense on how to slow him down. I mean all they had to do was force the ball out of his hands and they could have stopped them. Instead they allowed one player to literally contribute to over 60 points by himself. Kansas State had 82 points at the end of the regulation because of him.

 

It’s almost like he is just so good, it didn’t really matter what a coach did or didn’t do.

Sanogo at UConn is a monster, but Norwell has been a treat to watch.

And he had a really good look on Sparty's last possession but passed it up.  I don't know what happened there because that's the ideal shot.  He was 4-9 from 3 for the game.

I think he was hurting a little he looked like he rolled his ankle on defense a few seconds before.

I know he got the last one on the inbound pass that sealed the win. I'll be honest, I didn't think you could get an assist on an inbound pass. I have no problem with it, and you should get an assist, but I genuinely thought for some reason it didn't count. Am I alone here?!
