This is why I am hoping that U of L hires Mick Cronin! If Jay Wright, Billy Donovan, Scott Drew or Hurely isn't coming to UK...we have to keep Cal IMO.

Russell Co is a one district town, they can pay people whatever they want. SW has to pay what the PCBOE sets for both SW and PC. Now RC has to be willing to make those moves, but it can and has been done to hire people you want.

If I were an ad/prinicipal in the CKY area, I would at least kick the tires on Steve Adams. I am pretty sure he is still teaching at Boyle.

Maybe he will be U of L mens coach...they could use a little fire in their lives.

If you are getting a proven coach, it looks like U of L folks would want a coach later than sooner.

Do the same format with the Girls one week and the boys the second week. They basically take 2 weeks to play both of them as is.

IMO a 1st Round Monday/ Tuesday night senario with a Thursday Semi and Saturday Final would have a much better flow than what they do now?

Danville could be looking at 0-22 heading into the '25 season. Can they schedule some wins?

Reed panicked, didn't want to throw it to anyone but Reeves (the best FT shooter on the team) and made a bad pass. I think they were all expecting a faster foul attempt than that. Coulda shoulda woulda...could Cal have called a TO (yes, so could Sheppard). Cal did a good job of rotating offense for defense the last minute. He also didn't foul, allowed MSU to score with plenty of time for the Cats to get the last shot...Had a great dribble drive with Waggener and dish to the hot hand for the game winner. Pretty good coaching!

Yes...he had a bad game. His IQ, ability to anticipate, ability to shoot are too good. Now he is finishing at the rim and hitting pull up mid range shots. It's all about the process. He may have another bad game before the year is out...but I still like him leading this team. If he put his mind to it, I am not sure he isn't the best scorer on the team as well, but we won't know that because that's not his game. He has led the team in rebounding the last 2 games...kid is just a winner!

Non Athletic was said in your original post...not correct. No killer instinct was in your original post...not correct. Only plays because he is a local kid who fans want...not correct. He shouldn't play ahead of Waggener....not correct. What was correct in your original post?

Sheppard has been one of the most consistent players on UK's team this year. He had a bad game against UT which gave some haters fuel for their fire. He is working his way (if not already) into a lottery pick. He is head and shoulders beyond Waggener at this point, and I don't ever see him looking back. It's the body of work at this point for Sheppard that has everyone throughout the country raving about him and his ability...that's the obvious outlier.

I like the shot by Dilly being at 12 seconds. Down 1, if you miss you can foul quick and still give yourself another chance. Tied, down by 2 or 3, you go for the last shot. Down 1 is different IMO.

He had 3 straight fouls, all on the same play trying to fight over a screen to start the 2nd half. Dillingham got called for the same foul...I think the LSU guy was the same players, he was pushing off and we grabbed to catch back up all 4 times.

I hope the Cats can put together back to back solid performances. It seems like its been a while since they have played well in consecutive games.

All of these things are legit issues...but if a school allows these issues to keep from hiring the best possible candidate and 'making it work"...they aren't serious about a great program.
