FF is correct. Top two in the district moves on then if you lose in the region, you go home. Semi state is best of 3, then after that I believe it's one and out again all the way to the finals.

KHSAA actually lists the game as a double forfeit and a 0-0 tie.

I think Dixie will walk away with the 34th. No other team is as strong as them, but it depends on what Dixie team shows up. They have been very up and very down, so we'll see.

CovCath has been struggling a lot lately losing to Boone and Brossart back to back. Good win by Brossart, and hopefully CCH can right the ship and fast.

KHSAA doesn't list the game as played or the teams playing any time this year. They must not be updated, but the score is not on there.

I don't know about quality NCC is pretty down this year. Ryle keeps putting up wins and showing that they are a top 3 team IMO in the region.

Very surprised that CCH went out so early. Scott must be tough.

I don't see the logic of this at all... should it be true. Take many girls state titles... or coach a team that is tranditionally, not very good.

In basketball, Heritage forfeits their district seeding game, automatically putting them as last in the seeding, so I'm assuming they do the same in baseball.

Upsets happen in baseball. Think back two years ago in the first round of the districts to one of the biggest upsets in KY highschool baseball history.

Good to see they rescheduled CovCath. Looks like soccer and basketball could be an every year event.

Seeding is still the best way to do it. In the 36th, all that does is have the potential to eliminate the 1 of the 2 best teams, that way a 4th or 5th seed could move to the region, which is stupid IMO. I understand that teams want to move to the region, but in fairness... seeding would normally take the top 2 teams.

That's a shame that he's done so early, since he's obviously a very very qualified coach.

I highly doubt a coach as heralded and seasoned as Krumps would make this mistake on purpose. And that's what it was, a mistake. Now onto districts. BW will roll over Holmes, and CCH will have to play HC again. Good match-ups for both teams, even with HC beating CCH twice.

Not to mention in the 6th, CCH had bases loaded - 0 outs, and drove them in.

The right call was made, no doubt about that. It was just odd to me, because I hadn't seen it before and it was explained to me by the person next to me that the bats were not allowed in the feild of play. The umps were solid today, only 1 call on a pitch stands out as shaky, but it happens it's part of the game. But other than that, you would be hard pressed to think of another somewhat shaky call. Good game by the blues.

I was at the game. Wow in the first did Houlehan get hit... and hit hard. I believe his ERA coming in was about .5, after the first inning, his era for the game was 35. Granted it was just one inning, just something to show how well Beechwood was hitting. CovCath leaves bases loaded in the first inning without a run. In the 6th they finally got some runs to come across and the Beechwood pitcher walked in the run that made it a 1 run game. Odd call in the 6th when a wild pitch hit the backstop and hit some bats that were lined up for Beechwood and CovCath was allowed an extra base for the equipment being out of the dugout. The call was overturned and the CCH runner reatreated back to third.
