Hey-Ref Thanks, it was all very informative and I'm sure some didn't know all of the rules, but of course I did.

I'm not sure how long this series will last depending on the time frame for changes in enrollment. Ashland's numbers are real close to be in 4A under the new 6 class allignment from what I hear.

I hope you're right wise one and I agree the Defense did an outstanding job last Friday night from the starters down to the 2nd and 3rd stringers who kept GC's first team offense out of the endzone late in the game.

I'm sure this will be an exciting game although both teams have not quite lived up to preseason expectations this year so far, but I see Rockcastle having the edge in this game.

And for those that don't know the difference, a chop block is not the same as a cut block, which is similar except the defender is not being blocked by another offensive lineman when the cutting lineman goes for the legs.

Well it's obvious they like Ashland more than JC with the gift they gave them last year.

And I imagine that's the way it was when Ashland played JC last year, and again when they play them again this year.

Upset of the week? Naaahhhh. Ashland came to play tonight. A lot of yellow flags in the first half with and ejection of a GC player made me think back to my days when they were the dirtiest team we played. But both teams kept their composure in the second half as the Cats cruised to the easy win. Everyone got to play and the 2nd and 3rd string defensive players kept GC's #1 offense from scoring late in the game to preserve the goose egg.

Coach Evans' Boyd Co. team came out to play tonight. A loss but maybe a little respect was earned from the naysayers.
