What does every think of this one? Ashland has been playing very well as of late and all that I know about Mason is that they beat Boyd. With that said, I'm going to go with Ashland in this one.

I agree. The Tomcats should win this game, but Mason is always a tough opponent. Hopefully Drew McDavid can become Ashland's all-time reception leader, what a great accomplishment! Now he just needs the all time receiving yardage record and all-time leading scorer in basketball!

Mason will definitley be a worthy opponent. Ashland, JCHS, and Mason are the three best teams in the district. One thing about Mason is they always have athletes. Ashland will definitley come in with their hands full in this one. I think the players are focused though, and i think with a good week of practice we can bring home a win.:banana:

It looks like Ashland is really hitting their stride. Mason keeps finding ways to win, but I'm not sure they've played anyone of Ashland's caliber yet. I'll reserve judgement on predicting the final score for the time being, but I do think that Mason will have to do all of the classic things to hang with the Tomcats - win the turnover battle by 2 or more, at least hold their own on the line of scrimmage, eat clock and finish drives, keep Ashland's big plays to a minimum, etc. etc.

 

If the Royals could beat the odds and go to 2-0 in the district before going on the road to Greenup County, it would be huge.

This will be a tough test for the Tomcats. I think Ashland's line play will help the Cats to victory behind the running of Matt Thomas. The Cats are peaking at the right time. This game will be a hard fought one and close but Ashland has too much for the Royals.

I don't see Mason scoring 21 against this Tomcats defense. This defense seems to be playing very well together and actually may be the reason the Tomcats make a deep run.

I think the Tomcat D is playing really well right now, and with a healthier Bonner, will be too much for the Royals in this one.

They also beat Frankfort, a team ranked in 1-a. If Lafayette and Ashland played ten times, Lafayette would win eight. While Ashland has played a slightly tougher schedule, it isn't as if Mason County has been feasting on cupcakes for six weeks.
