Boyle County is having a down year but not many teams schedule Henry Clay, Danville, Mercer County, Southwestern, and Lafayette right in a row. Their record is kind of deceiving.

I agree with that, Boyle's record is deceiving. But this is also a down year for Boyle based on their recent past. I still believe they are a good football team. I just don't buy that they and Lafayette are as good as the other poster claimed, neither school would beat Ashland 8 times in a 10 game series, IMO. I have no idea what any of this has to do with this thread though.

I wonder if Jbax maybe was getting the Boyd comments confused with Boyle?

Ashland should win this one with ease. I was not very impressed with Mason against Boyd, unless that was just an off night for them.

I was impressed with Ashland the one game I saw them against Russell. From what I've read on here and in the papers they've only gotten better since then. I know Coach Buchanon always has his Royals ready to play. I look for them to give Ashland all they want.

I was not impressed with Mason Co...Boyd beat themselves last week. Ashland should be cruisin with this one......

You mentioned Boyle's record as 1-3, but i didn't know if all of you knew about their tough schedule. I don't think anyone should downgrade Lafayette's win just because of Boyle's record or the amount they won by. My point is Lafayette is a tough team that is ranked #8 in 4a for a reason.

We have several new restaurants in town now so check them out. Also have some very good food at the tailgate party in the parking lot.

Is Ashland allowed to bring their own officials with them?

And I imagine that's the way it was when Ashland played JC last year, and again when they play them again this year.

I just might do that mhighfield, but I am pretty fond of the Big Boy! We haven't had on around here for years. It is always a treat for me to go through there! :thumb:

Mason Co. is always a very well coached team, and they gave Ashland fits last year at Putnam Stadium. I expect more of the same this year, and I must keep the streak going.

On a side note, I had the opportunity to meet Coach Buchanan at Myrtle Beach this year. I don't know if he remembers or not, but I introduced myself to him at the Tiger exhibit at Barefoot Landing. Good luck to you this Friday night Coach, but not too much. ;):D
