Totally new ball field 315' down each line.

I was at the game Adams shot was maybe 330 down the line the fence is 315 so I would say about 330, 380 is a little bit of a stretch. It did come at the right time though. Hiller had 1 hit that I can remember a triple the other time he got on was an error. Eagles made some mental mistakes in the field as well but a win is a win and they move on to play Conner tomorrow. Good luck Eagles I will not be able to attend the game against Conner because I have a music recital tomorrow night.

I heard that Hankinson, Forrester, and Deck from Scott will be signing next week to play football at Thomas More.

Calm down Red Heat, I am very happy for the trio of Dixie kids going to Thomas More. They are very good athletes and will excel at Thomas More. I was just mentioning kids that might be joining them as teammates next year. Like I said didn't mean to rain on anyones parade on this thread Marty, EJ and Joey are great kids that will become fine young men in college. Good Luck I will be there rooting all you guys on.

I hope Joe Forrester does attend Thomas More and play football. I just don't know if he has made up his mind yet, know he has been visiting other schools. Wish him luck wherever he decides to go, he will definately help any program.

Congratulations Thomas More is getting 3 fine players. I also hear that Hankinson and Deck from Scott also might be attending Thomas More and playing football as well. Glad to see Thomas More getting local talent.

That's great that Ryle might get turf. Can you please answer 1 question for me how can they get turf through a donation when a few years ago Shaun Alexander wanted to fund a turf field for Boone County but was not allowed the County said they would have to split the money among the 3 county schools at the time. Has this changed for donations to Boone County Schools ? If so that is great I hope Boone gets 1 to.

I wish Coach Campbell the best and hope he does well. I was just expressing my opinion on the program and personalities of some of the Coaches Scott had the last couple of years. He can hire whoever he wants to be his Assistants I really believe in my heart that Dave Simpson should have been 1 of them instead of one that is coming back not to mention any names he will soon find out which 1 I am talking about once football starts up again with his on the field antics. Dave should look at the bright side now he can go watch his son play at SK which Myles by far will be 1 of the best in NKY the next 2 years. I only wish Scott would play SK again. Wow, to me that will be Scott's first big loss under the new Regime. How can you let somebody run your weight program for 4 months and then not hire him ? Yet we hire 1 of the Coaches who caused alot of trouble last year. Now I really see why the parents who did most of the work and financed alot of the program last year are leaving. Good luck to the new parents who are taking over don't forget Scott has a gas card for the lawn- mower when you need gas ha ha lol just ask the Assistant Principal for it.

I believe Scott made a good hire with Coach Campbell he seems to want to do the right things for the prgram. I wish him luck especially getting the things he wants to improve the facility I have been there and nothing really seems to get done when it comes to improvements at Scott unless it is done by the parents. Maybe things will change only time will tell. I did hear that Coach Campbell is bringing back a few Coaches from last years staff which is fine especially the Offensive Coordinator from last year kids really do like him and respect him. I hope he also brings the Freshman Coach back from last year to help out somewhere if not at the Freshman level. These 2 Coaches that I've mentioned are class acts and deserve to be back. The other Coach that is supposedly coming back I will not comment on too much but I believe that is a bad decision to bring him back however this is Coach Campbell choice and I wish him all the luck in the world with the program and I will be there still rooting for my Eagles no matter what.

I am not sure the game is at Scott but I do believe the new coach at Scott will be the head coach of one of the teams. I believe it was Scott's turn in the rotation to coach one of the teams.

Guys enough with the Zac Adams saga. I believe he knows he has to prove himself this year if he has any hopes of going D1. Zac especially has to prove he can still be a quality pitcher if he has any hopes of going D1 because there are plenty of D1 first basemans who have skills far above Zac but I believe he has the tools for D1 as long as he can still pitch the way he used to. I wish him all the luck in the world and hope to see him in D1 in the spring of 09.

I agree with what is being said about Elliott and Nichols throwing consistently in the 80's however I don't believe Adams is throwing consistently in the 80's especially coming off arm problems from 07. He is capable of doing this maybe down the road if his arm is fully healed which I don't believe it is. Nichols and Elliott by far are the cream of the crop this year in NKY. Adkins of Scott probably has the best off speed stuff of any pitcher in NKY and he will be Scott's #1 at the start of the season. Adams, Hiller and Murray will round out Scott's rotation of starters this year.

Was this game at SK ? If so I don't understand because the Scott- Dixie game got post-poned because the weather. I would understand not postponing this game if both teams were in the same region but they aren't so why does Kenton County allow this game to happen but not the Scott- Dixie game.

I believe on the basketball roster you have Adkins and Bianchi that played this year. The only other kid that plays basketball that played football at Scott is the O' Connor kid and he quit after Freshmen year to concentrate on basketball.

Let's not think that if they get more athletes from the so called successful programs at Scott that will make a difference. These kids in these other sports that don't play football don't because it could be the over all commitment that football takes, which is by far more than any other high school sport. Spring practices practicing in the extreme heat of summer just about every night and when school begins practicing every day after school. What I am trying to say is it would be nice to get more kids out for the football team but the ones who don't play just don't want to fool with the total commitment football brings. I love Scott and will always do anything I can for any sport at the school.

Must be a comedian we don't have double wides in the Taylor Mill area it's a little more up-scale than where you live. If I was you I wouldn't worry about who Scott's next coach is because I am sure you don't have a clue. LOL

Scott to me as a team seems to be reluctant to take shots at times, especially wide open ones. The Brown kid seems to be the only one that is willing to take shots when he is open, way to much dribbling going on out top. All in all Scott does seem to be getting better as the season wears on which I expected they would because Coach Carr is a good coach and gets kids to eventually buy into his coaching tactics as the season wears on. The future looks bright for Scott with alot of young talent getting alot of minutes especially Smith and Niederegger.

Sk in a blow-out for sure, let's get serious Sk should blow-out everyone in their district. I can't understand as far as the Regions go how you can have 3 Kenton County high schools that probably aren't 5 miles apart play in 3 different Regions. Someone with authority needs to rectify this problem. I know the 9th region is tough but so what all three high schools should still be in the 9th region.

The Pioneers should win this game. The only way this game should be close is if the Pioneers have trouble shooting free-throws again. They definately need to improve in this area as the Boone game will show you they make them down the stretch they win that game.

This is 1 game Scott should win easily even with the talent they lost from last years team.

Once the Head Coach is chosen he will fill his spots with the Assistants and choose the Freshmen Coach and JV Coach.

All I said is that this would give the new Coach some time to evaluate the program and get ready for spring practice. Just used this date because it is half way through the month and, obviously, you don't want to go into the month of February without a Coach.

Heard through the grape-vine they have about 15 applications and will be going through them asap. They need to have a Coach in place by at least Jan 15th that would give him some time to evaluate the program and get ready for spring practice. When it is all said and done I think everyone will be surprised about who the new Coach is, I personally think they will get someone with experience and has the ability to handle every situation that is thrown at him. This is just my opinion but I think Scott finally realizes they need to make a big splash with their new Coach.

Scott needs Adkins back in a hurry. Murray can't run the offense for Scott he has to much trouble bringing the ball up court against a press. The Smith kid seems to handle the pressure better so if Adkins can't go then you should let the Smith kid play the point.
